Oooooh, the next Weekly Shonen Jump is entirely a huge bonus issue dedicated to One Punch Man. I guess the regular Jump chapters are on a break. Niiiice!
Good on Murata being such a well-oiled machine that he gives break time to the other mangaka.
How big are One Punch Man volumes as of late? Murata is putting out enough content for a normal sized volume in a couple chapters, if that. Putting in anywhere near the number of chapters as a normal volume would make some of these pretty thick.
The bonus issue was good, but it didn't have the wild, epic stuff that I glimpsed in the thread...! Guess that'll be next week's.

So Season 2 confirmed for April next year? At least it's not freaking Winter 2020 so I'll take that. I seems JC Staff really wants to do the anime justice at least.
With the next biggest JC Staff show airing next season(Index S3), and probably being 2-cour, they did this so that they wouldn't overlap.
Yonkou was wrong about that. There wasn't an episode shown, just a very short lame teaser and the second season starts April next year.
The anime is supposed to cover this part right? Oh man... those guys have a lot of work cut out for them.
We don't know where it'll necessarily end. I'm guessing it ends after Elder Centipede's defeat.
Murata has been going all out for a while now, not just the last couple chapters. He's also made comments that he doesn't really care if he's making things difficult for the animation staff as he's gonna do what he wants.
I was personally thinking about where a decent place to end would be.

Yeah the art in this just keep wowing me. Its so damn good. Looking at the studio who is doing season 2 my expectations of it has been lowered.
I know the guys used to get into trouble for it, but I used to follow a dude on YouTube that would create videos of the OPM manga with music behind it and all that. That's how I used to keep up with the chapters so I haven't read any in a good while since his channel got shut down. Gotta change that though. Need to read the manga. Just love the art.
People should read the King's encounter with Atomic Samurai in the ONE version, it's the most hilarious stuff in OPM.
I'm not following what's new and when, and I don't look at the scanlation sites, so I don't know exactly...basically, the chapter was mostly about Saitama and friends eating hot pot, lol.
All this does is make me want Eyeshield 21 to get a proper, Murata quality series not the absolute crap we got.

Murata was clearly pressed for time on this chapter. It lacked his usual pristine attention to detail, and it looks like he even made the mistake of drawing a sword in Flashy Flash's hand after he had been disarmed. The general fight choreography and paneling is still top notch. I hope the animators for the show can do this fight justice (if they ever get to it...)
The anime is coming out next year right? He might be trying to finish this arc before then. Still the art is top notch.

Yeah, but season 2 will probably end at the tournament arc or possibly with Elder Centipede.
Technically this is only one part of a larger "chapter" as I believe Murata said if he drew everything ONE gave him in one shot it would be like a 300 page chapter lol
This manga arc will probably still be going on by the time season 2 finishes.
Holy shit I cannot wait to see this part animated. I do not remember this being in the original, is this something new? Anyway it looks amazing.
