People like this writer who call themselves "the left" while complaining about identity politics and projecting their own indifference and ignorance onto everyone else can get fucked tbh
He is intelligent. I don't give a fuck about his intelligence. He doesn't use it in a way that helps anyone but himself. He has hateful views that don't really benefit society or make it a better place. Why anyone should care about his opinion is beyond me. Just because you say something doesn't mean anyone has to listen to you.

It pretty much is my problems with the Atlantic personified, a magazine that I do often enjoy.
It reads like her not being able to come to terms with her son having fallen for something reprehensible and needing everyone else to be wrong.
