Always felt Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light as one of the most beautiful games on DS
I've never played it, but I've always wanted a copy of Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword.
I think it looks pretty good for a DS game.
edit: actually, I'm not sure if this is emulator footage or not.
Here's the IGN video review, I don't think they'd use an emulator to capture footage. That might just be me being naïve, though.

Matrix Software was on a huge roll with the DS. They also did 4 Heroes of Light, FFIII, FFIV, Avalon Code and Nostalgia, which are all pretty wonderful looking games.

Part of why the Nintendo DS had so many games running at 60fps is because the hardware could draw 2048 polygons per frame and no more.
I thought it was more that the hardware was simple enough that framerate was basically a function of how many polygons (or maybe it was vertices) you had on the screen, with 60fps basically being guaranteed as long as you stayed under a certain threshold.Part of why the Nintendo DS had so many games running at 60fps is because the hardware could draw 2048 polygons per frame and no more.
Indeed is the vanilla version of the game.
And 60 FPS afairYou'll be even more surprised when you learn not only it looks like that, it's also open world
I am pretty sure it was still on DS
Per frame instead of per second? Why couldn't they halve the frames to double the polygons produced in the same time period?
I believe most games on DS were 60fps due to how the hardware worked. There was also a hardwired limit on rendered triangles.
The devs used assembly language.
Does this have an English patch??
Got this game in a flash cart, maybe I should finally give it a full shot:

The funny part of this image is that it misses the N-Gage version:That's kind of the joke because Ubisoft puts Chaos Theory on everything..
*pic*
Go back to page 1, you missed it.No Dragon Quest IX mention? I always felt it was one of the best looking DS games, almost looked as good as a PSP game if the resolution were a little higher.
I had no idea that this was a thing, but a Wizard of Oz RPG sounds so up my alley. Was it any good?

Man, those shots of DS games running on an emulator. Is it a pain in the butt to rip your games? I still have a tonne of DS stuff I want to get through.
mentioned several times but nobody had pics on hand :)No Metroid Prime Hunters?
Looks especially good at a higher res via an emulator.
