Windows is changing your mic input from your headset to your DS4 when you plug it in.I just realized a problem I have and wondering if anyone ran into this issue before and knows how to resolve it.
I generally use teamspeak with my friends playing online games, with a headset plugged into my tower. However, when I try to plug in my dualshock 4, all of a sudden people can't hear me. I'm guessing there's something going on with the fact that the dualshock has the ability to use a mic? It hasn't been a problem yet because every game I play with my friends I use mouse and keyboard, but for Monster Hunter, that ain't happening.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I had a headset once that had issues like this. One way I found that helped is to swap USB ports around with the controller/headphones. Are your headphones USB or do they use the audio jack? I had issues with headphones that sit in the audio jack and found getting a USB extension for them made the issues go away. Sorry if this wasn't helpful, but something to consider I suppose?I just realized a problem I have and wondering if anyone ran into this issue before and knows how to resolve it.

Change it back in Windows' audio settings when this happens.

Yep, jsut go change your default device.Windows is changing your mic input from your headset to your DS4 when you plug it in.

Forgot to mention that Teamspeak might also be switching to the DS4 (I don't use Teamspeak, so idk), so if you switch it back in Windows and still nothing, check Teamspeak's audio settings as well. I know Discord is usually set to use whatever Windows is using as it's defaults, I don't know if Teamspeak works the same way
This is also a good idea if you're never gonna use the inline mic on the DS4, this would keep you from having to switch it in Windows every time
How do I turn on controller? It isnt reading and there is no option in menu to "use gamepad"
Can you have an armor set take the appearance of another set in this one?
Yeah, I'm only at 3.8 myself, it's ~1h20m for me to DL.
And my internet is pretty good by Toronto standards. WTF. We're so ass backwards up here on some stuff.
I'd be really interested to see what people think about whether controller or kb/m is better.
Dunno if it works but there is HdrOutput and HdrOutputWhiteLevel in config.ini in the game install dir. It's off by default i guess, maybe you can force it on
