I just realized a problem I have and wondering if anyone ran into this issue before and knows how to resolve it.

I generally use teamspeak with my friends playing online games, with a headset plugged into my tower. However, when I try to plug in my dualshock 4, all of a sudden people can't hear me. I'm guessing there's something going on with the fact that the dualshock has the ability to use a mic? It hasn't been a problem yet because every game I play with my friends I use mouse and keyboard, but for Monster Hunter, that ain't happening.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Windows is changing your mic input from your headset to your DS4 when you plug it in.
Change it back in Windows' audio settings when this happens.

I had a headset once that had issues like this. One way I found that helped is to swap USB ports around with the controller/headphones. Are your headphones USB or do they use the audio jack? I had issues with headphones that sit in the audio jack and found getting a USB extension for them made the issues go away. Sorry if this wasn't helpful, but something to consider I suppose?

Thanks! I'll give that a try

Interesting, I'll keep this in mind if the above doesn't work (headset is audio jack)

Can you have an armor set take the appearance of another set in this one?

Forgot to mention that Teamspeak might also be switching to the DS4 (I don't use Teamspeak, so idk), so if you switch it back in Windows and still nothing, check Teamspeak's audio settings as well. I know Discord is usually set to use whatever Windows is using as it's defaults, I don't know if Teamspeak works the same way

Disable wireless controller in the windows sound manager
This is also a good idea if you're never gonna use the inline mic on the DS4, this would keep you from having to switch it in Windows every time

1 min left on the download, lets hope the CPU fix has been implemented! If you don't hear from me again for a few days, don't worry, you know where I'll be...

Yeah, I'm only at 3.8 myself, it's ~1h20m for me to DL.

And my internet is pretty good by Toronto standards. WTF. We're so ass backwards up here on some stuff.

There are about 24k people playing on Steam and I'm here looking at my screen for the next 4 hours.

My Monster Hunter is crashing a few seconds after start-up. I got to accepting the licensing agreement and it crashed to desktop and now it loads for about 2 seconds and crashes. I have an i7 4790k so I don't know if that's the issue or not, already tried validating as well.

Edit: Turns out I forgot to update my drivers. That fixed it.

PSA: steam app sucks and the remote download does not seem to work from it. Logged into steam store via mobile web browser and it worked on first try.

I was able to initiate the DL with my phone, it did take a couple of tries though. I did attempt to do it right at noon however, so I dunno if it was just the store updating that was wonky. Time initiated shows at 12:01.

Hope everyone on PC is having a good time, if there are any new ppl playing Id recommend checking out Hijeks weapon guides. Much quicker and better than others. Just save SnS for last, by then you will realize its the best weapon.
Here is a link to the first video.
