For me, the entire point of Pokemon is to be fun.
Absurd amounts of handholding, and dumbed down gameplay are the opposite of fun in my opinion.
and what does it have to do with the inclusion of Megas ?

I'm wondering if they're going to add new megas to the game. From everything being shown so far the game seems lacking in something I can't quite put my finger on.
to Game Freak, mobile games are to blame.Wow they really went out of their way to make this game really simple. How stupid do they think kids are?
Yeah, it's pretty puzzling. Steelix isn't included, Scizor isn't included, Magmortar isn't included... but fucking Mega Blastoise is? What is going on?I... I'm just baffled by this game. All sorts of shit they eschew for nostalgia's sake, but Mega Evolution is in. I don't think I like that.

Why did Surge litter his gym with trash cans and then put switches in them anyway?
Meh, I don't think it looks that bad tbh. I get what you mean, but maybe knowing that it's a remake means it's fine in my head.
I hope if the next big Pokemon game (that's not a remake) is fully 3D, this won't be a thing anymore though. It should be like a 3D/360 degree proximity thing. Like if you get close enough no matter what direction you're coming from, they'll see you.
well he's americanWhy did Surge litter his gym with trash cans and then put switches in them anyway?
Beating the trainers of the gym told you how to solve the puzzle, you didn't need to mindlessly click.
well, Game Freak could have always just put their heads together and make an actual puzzle. but I guess that's asking for too much?
They could have improved the puzzle not make it even more simple.
Yea I have high hopes for next year game, I really hope it's nothing like Pokemon let's go. Something better than even sun/moon; where you feel like you can actually explore the world.to Game Freak, mobile games are to blame.
the same games that are much more complex than Pokemon, and more open to boot
GF keeps saying "2019 are for the long-time fans", but with the dumbass decisions they make here, it's hard to take their comments at face value. they dug themselves into this pit and now they have to crawl their way back up just to meet standards that were set years ago
... It's a chubby mouse.
Doing it '' badass '' I think it's pretty ridiculous.
Come on, it has a lightning bolt as a tail and has pointy bat-like ears. Aesthetically it is meant to be ¨ëdgy¨ compared to Pikachu. Not to mention Lt. Surgeś Raichu in the anime acted like a badass.
I mean really....

This makes me mad, i was 6 when i played this game and never had any problem with this why the heck do they think kids can't solve this super dumb "puzzle"?
I wonder where the two switches to turn off the two electric gates are.
there's nothing edgy about stump arms and winnie the pooh palette. He might have "acted like a badass" in the anime when we were much younger, but that's not supposed to officially represent Raichu in any way. By this logic Pikachu is the most badass pokemon in the anime by a long shot, having defeated multiple mega, evolved and pseudolegendaries with the odds against him.
"lightning bolt as a tail" is no different to Pikachu
When we were younger? That is the impression they were trying to convey for Raichu and the way we perceive it now doesn´t change it. But in this game they should have at least made it a little closer to how Raichu appeared in the anime since it was so memorable.
It just makes Lt. Surge look like he has no edge. And please dont say something like ¨Well bobble-headed characters arent suppose to appear edgy¨, I mean he is a freaking army man Pokemon trainer.
I think it's less about how it is in comparison to the original and how it now, literally, isn't a puzzle anymore. There's a difference between making a game for kids (Guess what, Pokémon games already worked as kids games!) and making a game for people who never touched a controller in their lives.
Why is an army man considered edgy? Pokemon excels at eccentric archetypes and this is just one of many.
This image sums up the games pretty well.
I wonder where the two switches to turn off the two electric gates are.
¨Hey, kid! What do you think you're doing here? You won't live long in combat! That's for sure! I tell you kid, electric Pokémon saved me during the war! They zapped my enemies into paralysis! The same as I'll do to you!¨
His words to the trainer in the GB games. I rest my case.
All the trainers in Pokemon are similarly corny. Im not sure what your case is tbqh. "all my pokemon are rock hard" is about as hardcore as this lol
I... I'm just baffled by this game. All sorts of shit they eschew for nostalgia's sake, but Mega Evolution is in. I don't think I like that.

Maybe you think edgy is a young boy with hair in his face saying ¨Quiet weakling¨ lol, but Lt. Surge is edgy in the sense that he has been hardened from his experiences on the battlefield and is saying he´ll thrash his opponent.
Steelix, Scizor, Magmortar(doesn't mega evolve) aren't gen 1.Yeah, it's pretty puzzling. Steelix isn't included, Scizor isn't included, Magmortar isn't included... but fucking Mega Blastoise is? What is going on?
Neither is Mega Blastoise.
Yeah if a trademark, which isn't public so doesn't even seem to be legit, says a Pokémon has been registered then it MUST mean it's a Mega Evolution
It's a form of a Gen 1 Pokémon
In the continuing adventures of making the enemy trainers weaker.
https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Mt._Moon
Jesse and James now have a Level 12 Ekans and Koffing, down from a Level 14 Ekans, Koffing and Meowth (Meowth just straight up disappeared from the fight).
I be slightly fair to this fight, this could be the first Doubles Fight in the game, so they needed to make it easier accordingly to introduce the concept of doubles the player. The movesets seem updated accordingly as Ekans uses Acid over Poison Sting to hit both enemies.
I have nothing positive to say on this Rocket though. A Rocket with only a Level 9 Zubat. in previous games, the very first Rocket you fought had a Level 11 Sandshrew, Ratatta and Zubat. The second a level 12 Zubat and Level 12 Ekans. All the rockets had at least 2 pokemon in their team in Mt. Moon, doesn't look like that's continuing in Let's Go.
A Level 9 Zubat is actually weaker than the Wild Zubats you could find in the Last Floor of Mt. Moon (They were level 10 minimum at that point).
Difficulty nerf still seems in play.
This is the problem when choosing to remake 1:1 the original game.
This layout and trainers standing still in the middle of the gym were ok on GB because of technical limitations. Now they look totally non-sense. They could have reworked the gyms while being faithful to the original idea.
