Or PokemonSmash fans should play a REAL fighting game like Digimon Rumble Arena
Wow calling dan and abby and the rest of GB assholes.Lol, RDR2 gameplay video, what's the bet it plays exactly the fucking same as every other trash manbaby Rockstar game for assholes.
Look it's 4am here and I have THINGS TO SAY.
So much for Luigi's Big Dick Energy.
Anyway, an Austin Walker soundboard with multiple "Vinny?!" buttons:
people still do football?
Comparing smash to Starcraft seems kind of out there. Like they talked about on the bombcast, actual fighting game players don't have an issue with moving on to the newer product.King Dedede also got got. The Reaper is probably feet away from where he landed.
That's silly, because the whole core of competitive gaming is a deep love and respect of the mechanics. (I am not into the competitive gaming or anything but that's how I interpret their devotion to certain games.)
It's like--as an example game I can personally relate to--if you've played Starcraft 1 it's obvious that 2 will never, ever be able to replace it, because on a fundamental level it fails precisely because it is not Starcraft 1. It doesn't feel like an evolution of the first game so much a completely separate thing. Sure, it's in the same skin, but appearances aren't everything.
To 99% of people melee is just a shittier looking Smash 4 with less characters. The people who sincerely care about the differences between them are insufferable and the fact that the game is still being held up as this competive masterpiece for so long after it released is lame. Jeff is 100% right when he says you all need to move on. It's so silly.
It takes a brave man to admit when they're wrong. Glad we could finally come to an understanding. You are right, we should trash Melee because you and Jeff say so.

Starcraft is in that exact situation, though. Game 2 was never a proper successor to Game 1, so the scene (both competitive and casual, in Starcraft's case) just stayed centered around the first game.Comparing smash to Starcraft seems kind of out there. The difference is that Melee has mechanical depth (partially due to glitches) that the later Smash games don't. Now you can say that's because Smash isn't a real fighting game, it's not meant to be played like this, etc. and you'd be right. But that doesn't change the fact that people play it competitively, and again, the sequels don't have the depth it has. If the sequel to Street Fighter doesn't have jump canceling or throw techs, I doubt you'd see SF players move on to the new oneComparing smash to Starcraft seems kind of out there. What does the K. stand for, anyways?
A couple matches of Dragon Ball
Fair enough, this is probably the best reasoning I've seen so far. I still think it's dumb as hell but if people have clung onto that game for this long arguing about it is pointless. The difference is that Melee has mechanical depth (partially due to glitches) that the later Smash games don't. Also, Smash new challenger trailers are the best trailers in the business.

As a casual observer that has played a little bit of every Smash game, I can confirm that they are all literally 100% the exact same game except that one with the crazy story mode which is unquestionably the goat
He's like Nintendo's Bel Biv Devoe
this is maybe the closest we've come to agreeing on something and it's a little scary
I was about to jokingly say "shouldn't you like them now because they removed the cutscenes after Brawl" but then you pull this swerve
it's like I don't even know any of you anymore
They don't even archive stuff permanently (by default, I guess) either. It's ridiculous. The explanation I heard--which covers both issues--was that it's about the current content (i.e. streams) rather than just videos, which I guess makes sense given what they are but it's still silly.Just a random thought: How does Twitch still not have live DVR controls! It's 2018!! What's the point of having a pause button if when you resume the stream it jumps you to live? Almost every other streaming platform has live DVR controls, yet the biggest streaming platform doesn't.
I did the 10 hour ea access trial on my buddy's xbox. Finished the "campaign" in Ultimate Team. I cant make myself buy it. It plays too similar to last year. This is the first year since '98 I'm not going to have the new Madden at release. I'm sure I'll eventually own it, but not right away. The weird twist, if they released it on Switch, I'd have bought it for my plane trips coming up.
If it was Rocksteady or a company besides Insomniac, I'd have more faith in it being good, the fact they keep showing the same area and construction zone in all the gameplay videos bothers me. I've played through all the Spider-man games since the ps1 game, he's my favorite super hero, so I will play it eventually, but it just isnt grabbing me as a must have right now.I'm afraid Spider-man is going to be a bog standard open world action game rather than the Batman: Arkham game I want it to be.
I think I got burned too many times by other Spider-man games...
What I remember of the Arkham games outside of the first one, is that they are pretty standard open worldy games. As long as Spider-Man feels great to control and they don't lock the 'true-ending' behind a shitton of collectibles, I am down for this game.I'm afraid Spider-man is going to be a bog standard open world action game rather than the Batman: Arkham game I want it to be.

Tell me what their feet smell like!
The combat seems interesting with a lot of moves that go beyond punch, punch, kick, occasional web shot to stick someone to the wall. Lotta interesting moves plus some environmental combat options, and the traversal looks good. Not sure what else you could give Spiderman to make it feel definitively Spiderman. Maybe if they pull a Persona and have you also spend time in school as Peter Parker and doing your job for the Daily Bugle and deal with splitting time between those things. (this may have already been announced, I haven't been paying attention. I only really know about the E3 demo and the recent thing they showed off a week or two ago)The thing with Batman: Arkham is, I think it works due to more than just the combat, even after Asylum. Batman has the predator gameplay, unlockables, light detective stuff, and fairly ambitious stories that really make it feel like a superhero's journey. Rocksteady always made the games a pure Batman experience that put it a step above comparable stuff.
So Spider-man needs its own twist. If it's just scripted missions, combat, and Spider-man 2-era webslinging that won't be enough. It needs some mechanics that give players an authentic Spider-man experience.
i know haha! but just like as a joke lmk

what do you guys think about goblins I think they fuck great
alright love you, bye
I wanna say they've mentioned that there's Peter Parker gameplay, but the E3 gameplay sutff I've seen (of Spider-man, no Parker stuff) has been incredibly standard. The combat seems interesting with a lot of moves that go beyond punch, punch, kick, occasional web shot to stick someone to the wall.
