Hopefully not. They're ugly and poorly designed. I'd rather the Snowmads come back or we get new original villians. I'd probably pass on the game if it had kremlings

Resetera is a tiny fraction of the gaming community, our buying habits matter little in the grand scheme of things.
You really think the snowmads would do that much better in a wider poll? That's cute. This is like people who don't want to acknowledge that the original 150 Pokemon are still the most iconic and memorable.
Never said that. Just think that they are ugly and dated. Also the original 150 Pokemon didn't disappear from gaming for over a decade.
We are talking about a series(country) that started off with the story of a bunch of crocodile like creatures stealing bananas from a monkey and monkeys fighting them back to retrieve it back. The absurdity matches the style. Also the overly exaggerated looks work amazing for a time where CRTs were the name of the game. Viewing pics off a modern monitor won't really do the art justice.
People who would refrain from buying a new DK game from Retro (having enjoyed the other two) just because they used BLEH KREMLINGS BLEH are an even tinier fraction you know
You people are so unreasonable. Liking the Kremlings is not an attack on Retro or the Retro DK games. Both Returns and Tropical Freeze are great, but they are great despite the tikis and snowmads, not because of them. Thinking the kremlings would "ruin everything" is mind boggling
I don't dislike the Snowmads at all (don't care for the Tikis). But I love the variety in the Kremlings while also keeping their theme. I'd love to see what Retro could do with them.

I liked the Snowmads, I think they are better designed and more interesting villians than the kremlings. I'd enjoy having them back. Or new villains would be cool. I just think the kremlings look ugly and dated. K Rool in particular just looks nasty and weird (and not in a good way). Retro can do better than that.
I played the games on original hardware on a CRT back when they came out. They were as ugly back then as they are ugly now. Not to mention that Rare's sorry excuses for designs are weirdly proportioned eyesores that make the "goggly eye" meme look tame in comparison.

Tikis and Snowmads act as de-facto platforms and are an integral part of the level design and their design reflect that: they are so wide because DK and co. can easily jump on them. Kremlings are generic crocodile enemies which act as random hazards in the original DKC trilogy;
- K. Rool is a poor man Bowser. He's like Wart: a Bowser stand-in if you don't want to use Bowser
It should be said Rare probably knew that and to make him more memorable they made him totally mad and lunatic, giving him a different persona every game.

Sure, DKC1-2-3-64 are an important part of Nintendo's history (especially DKC1&2), and so was the partnership with Rare, and K. Rool in Smash represent that. But the future shouldn't look at the past and no, I don't want Kremlings back in the main DK series (unless they are heavenly re-design but at this point a new set of villains is probably for the better - and the Snowmads, somehow, are that: Kremlings done right).

I haven't liked any of the new enemies as much as the Kremlings, so I'd totally be down for their return.

Nah. Regardless if you love or hate the Kremlings, DKC2 is oozing a sense of style and atmosphere that Retro's games have completely failed to recapture.

The Tikis were lame, the Snowmads are great, but the Kremlings are awesome!
They could be incorporated well into the next retro DK. No reason they wouldn't work as well as the Snowmads.
Would be the perfect end for retros trilogy.

You can be happy because a character you loved as a child who is objectively a big part of Nintendo's history is in a crossover celebrating 30 years of videogames AND at the same time realizing that this character and his crew don't really fit today standard (unlike, say, Diddy Kong).
Kremlings should come back but take on a completely new gimmick like in DKC2.

there's nothing about them that couldnt be reworked to fit the new games. specially in a completely bonkers series like Donkey Kong. You're not talking about putting dinosaurs and real human proportions in mario here (wait a minute...)

Radioactive ocean with clear bright green skies doesn't really scream swamp. They should have swapped the whole background with the swamp background.
Retro's games have completely unique backgrounds for every single level that do a lot of visual storytelling.
I think DKC2 is much more impressive and Tropical Freeze being second only to a GOAT soundtrack like that is not a bad thing.
Snowmads were actually decent, aside from the final boss being a rip off of K.Rool lol. I definitely hope they bring back the Kremlings to close out a potential trilogy.
Snowmads are nice, Tikis are mediocre as fuck, and Kremlings are dope. I have a feeling we will see them if there is a DKCR3.
