I'm surprised there hasn't been an 8th gen remaster for the original.
Crysis 1 (360) version and Crysis 2 likely. 3 might need to be 30 fps.
I would think if we are taking remastered the first two games wil likely be on high - very high settings. Crysis 1 is only hard to run at this point due to it being single threaded. A remaster would be on a new version of Cryengine.
Crysis 3 is still in my opinion one of the best looking games and harder to run I would say 30 is best bet.
I got all the DLC in a Christmas sale they had on PS3 a year or two ago. I paid €10 for all of it, IIRC. I've seen it on sale for PC on Origin, too, so I guess it should go on sale for Xbox every couple of years, as well...

The 360 versions are locked at 30.
And a proper port would probably still be only 30.
I know a lot of people like pop 08, but I love the pop games and think it's by
far the weakest modern one. It's certainly divisive. See if you can try a demo, I think the controls and simplicity totally ruin the game.

Shout out to THQ Nordic for allowing SINE MORA bc, when there is a native Xbox one version for sale. Also with the darksiders and deblob 2. Shows respect for customers and gives an option. Hopefully we get red faction guerilla too.

We can thank EA's anti-remaster policies for that. Same reason we never got Mass Effect trilogy remasters. It sucks that Crysis 1 got a 360/PS3 release, but none of its improvements ever came to PC. Worse, EA pretty much sent it out to die as a digital only release. Console gamers were not hot on digital in 2011.
This is true, however they can be unlocked on real hardware to run at 60fps. It's a simple variable change in the configuration file. I'm dubious MS would take those kind of liberties, though.
Hard to say. Would really depend on how far they pushed the graphics. Remember that Crytek did VR games for a while. They know how to make games run at 60FPS+ at all times.

There's been at least one game that runs at 60 now b/c of existing internal rendering logic even though the original game ran at 30 I believe. It's a bit of a cheat but it is game specific.
They don't change game code. The prime directive.

I'm still hoping eventually Capcom will give the go ahead for games that have current gen remasters and were on the 360, to be BC.
I do find it weird that Resident Evil: Code Veronica hasn't been ported over with the other RE games. Hopefully, they'll just allow it to be BC. Same with Operation Raccoon City.
That's a bit of hyperbole don't you think? I believe most new games are X enhanced, but yes, there has definitely been a lack of BC games getting enhanced.
All I ask for is NG2 BC/enhanced.
X enhancing 360 BC games was never promised to us. It has and always will be simply a bonus.
It's not like they have to do this. Be thankful we're still getting games for BC.
That said, I feel like we have so many games bc now (although there are many more I'd want) that I wouldn't mind if they shifted their focus to X enhancing more games, instead of necessarily adding new ones.
I'm not sure it's an issue of 'being thankful'. This is a service they committed to and I'd say has played a good role in 180'ing the XB1's reputation coming off that infamous 2013 reveal. It's clearly a part of building their platform going forward with gamepass and being able to carry your content across generations, so the more games they add to their service the better for all concerned. I'm much more likely to buy an older gen title on my XB1 than I am my PS4, so give me more BC titles and I'll keep buying the ones of interest.
My point is that getting annoyed with MS for not putting out "enough" is meaningless.
Getting annoyed at anything 'non-essential' IMHO is ultimately meaningless( which is obviously a broader discussion). I'm just saying I don't think we should be 'grateful' for MS continued efforts with BC, as if they're doing us all a favor. I'd say it's partly salvaged this gen for them at least in terms of brand perception.
Word! If NG2 drops for Xbox One X I'll be again all over it. NG Black & 2 are the best in the series.

Okay, silly then. Better? I mean, they're still pumping out games. They're still updating the entire bc system. So three games yesterday wasn't enough for you? Last week's weren't it either? Will next week suffice?
I just think it's a bunch of whining, about nothing. And it looks stupid. We're getting something that's basically a free bonus. Nobody is asking you to worship at the altar of Microsoft, but I mean, come on.
Burnout 3 is literally the only one I REALLY want from the original Xbox. Everything else is just bonus. I really hope it gets added whenever they do another batch of games.
NG II is my favorite in the series. Just sublime combat and cool levels and aesthetic. Easily my most wanted BC game.
Still need to see more console exclusives that never saw release on PC, such as Lollipop Chainsaw, Asura's Wrath, The Darkness, and a whole bunch of Xbox originals.
I just remembered Saints row 2 has been BC for a while. They should make the original BC as well.
I'd buy this first day! Is this version better than PS2 because that was what I played it on?
I hope we get a digital version of Lollipop Chainsaw in the west, because there is one on the Japan Xbox Store.
