Portal 2 & Mirrors edge.
And yes I could handle them both fine.
These threads are fun for trying to work out who has never played VR lol
I'd love to see a reaction thread for "Mirrors Edge VR puke-your-heart out edition"
until your avatar slips and you find yourself hurtling towards the ground
How would Mirror's Edge even work in VR?Yes to Condemned and Mirrors Edge!
Also, Chronicles of Riddick.
I'm of the (seemingly rare based on this thread!) opinion that you shouldn't just cram VR into 2D games. Fallout 4 was awful in VR because the interactivity that you expect in VR games (being able to pick everything up and interact with the world with your hands) just wasn't there. It felt like playing a standard 3D game in a headset. I thought Skyrim was marginally better but still nowhere near a 'real' VR game. Leave 2D games as 2D and make new experiences.
I was precisely thinking of both Condemned and Riddick. Very immersive just as they are... As VR they could be great experiences.Yes to Condemned and Mirrors Edge!

I can play VR fine at sub 60fps with stutter and no reprojection (emulators and mods). I have yet to find a single thing that bothers me. In fact the stuff that bothers me most of all is forced comfort settings as it makes me feel slightly claustrophobic. The more 'intense' something is in VR the more I enjoy it. Most of the things that happen in Mirrors Edge anyway such as the roll and the turn are so fast that they likely fall into the category of Wipeouts barrel roll when the camera is locked to the driver, it happens so fast that it's hard to process.
Ideally, I'd like Mirrors Edge to be rebuilt with VR in mind, specifically the time trials taking inspiration from To The Top, Climbey, Windlands, and Sprint Vector.
It's obviously not a realistic idea as the controls would need to be made from the ground up for VR. I'm sure it's possible, but would be a lot of work.
It already exists! Haven't played it myself since i didn't really care for the flat version. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter would all be fantastic fits for VR
Ok, if you've played windlands, you know what you're in for :)
Dropping from heights and landing have this horrible side effect of making your guts attempt to climb out of you. Sure it gets better over time, but thats not feasible for a mainstream release.
VR games without interractivity are fine, case and point RE7 the greatest VR game atm.I'm of the (seemingly rare based on this thread!) opinion that you shouldn't just cram VR into 2D games. A VR version of the game already exists. I'm not 100% sure but I believe it's the entire game more or less and not some spin-off or "experience"
Sony actually used Datura to prototype PS VR. It already supported stereoscopic 3D and looked great!
Why it hasn't been released for PS VR I don't know! Perhaps there was no actual VR support in it and they just rigged head movement to joystick input and watched the existing stereo 3D in the headset.
It follows the same plot but shortens the game to 8 cases.A VR version of the game already exists. I'm not 100% sure but I believe it's the entire game more or less and not some spin-off or "experience"
