I definitely believe this. If the CIA went out of their way to bankroll the Abstract Art movement (in order to promote Western freedom of expression vs Soviet repression) it wouldn't surprise me if they meddle with pop culture.
Look at the US "gangster rap" boom and political hysteria in the late 80s/early 90s, which was followed shortly thereafter by mass incarceration and the '94 Crime Bill. The rich execs made a killing off the gangsta music, while their peers made a killing off of locking up those scary Black criminals.

Most philosophers assume that we don't exist, while some even argue that we cannot possibly exist. I, on the other hand, find claims to things like consciousness, qualia and the like incoherent and ultimately uninteresting. The intuitive feeling of a homunculus, it seems to me, is just a neat trick to keep the organism in the self-preservation business.
So I'm not really conscious, it's just a habit of thinking. You may be conscious, but I'm inclined to deny that I am until I see a compelling reason to assume otherwise.

We are alone in the universe. Not forever tho, I often think the reason we dont encounter other intelligent species is because we are the first ineligent beings in the universe. I mean, some one has to be the first and there really isnt a reason why it cant be us.
I can't really think of what the difference between the idea of us being in a simulation and us being in a physical reality would be. At a certain point they're probably one in the same.

I'm with you on this one, or at the very least know more than they're letting on.
Ehhh I used to think they were involved but looking at the timing of things involved I think direct involvement is unlikely. I think the most likely explanation is they were negligent in leaving their kids unattended while they went out to dinner and their shiftiness since then has been to deflect attention from that negligence.
I strongly believe Usain Bolt is a doper. There are so many red flags, but I think it would be so damaging for athletics if he was to be caught that I don't think anyone has the appetite to catch him.
Brexit is a ruse by the U.K. and the EU to stop the EU collapsing.
Basically the U.K. display an almost catastrophic list of reasons why leaving would be bad etc fail to react to it then at the last minute not leave or leave in name only.
Basically as the U.K. do this any other countries thinking of bailing decide not to.
The reason the U.K. was/is the second largest economy in the EU and leaving could cripple it. Other smaller countries don't want to leave.
Seeing as a lot of U.K. companies have European owners and a lot of European companies have U.K. owners or U.K. is heavily invested a simple pulling out is not a good idea.
May is a remainer and she has something that keeps her in power and at the last minute an indefinite transition period or a second referendum will happen to keep us in.

Life on other planets. Not necessarily INTELLIGENT life though. That might exist, but it's a lot less likely than just any life, which I'm pretty much certain does exist.
