Given the huge increase in screen size, im hoping its 2 players now. Theres just enough screen real estate to have a second life bar down there.

It appears to be the SNES game with some new content, like Wild Guns Reloaded.
The scene in the tweet plays the same in the SNES version. But this is in widescreen with what seems like HD assets and without slowdown. The Explosion takes more time in the SNES version and the Boss is only around 1.5 times the size of Kunoichi instead of the 2-2.5 times as in the clip. Screen is also further zoomed out then the SNES version. Seems like a HD remaster to me, as I have not seen anything new yet.
Really excited for this. Ninja Warriors was one of my favorite games on the SNES that I only had as a rental and one of the first on my list when I started retro collecting Super Nintendo games.
Interesting to see Terminator-Guy look so HUGE. For Ninja Warriors AGAIN, the increased screen width and scale also helps it look much close to the original Arcade Game. It's a great mix that just pays tribute to the series as a whole. And that new Art for our 3 main Ninjas looks great. I guess we're not getting a new playable character this time, judging by those renders. Which is pretty much OK, as the main 3 are all pretty solid. Any improvements to animation (Think I see some already) or the degrading of their external skin upon taking damage would be more than enough improvements.

Definitely hoping for this, too. It might be a BIT weird since you share a single plain, but I surely wouldn't mind. It's the only thing that keeps the game from rating higher in my memories.

That was my guess too. Would be a great inclusion too, because that was kind of the original's biggest "issue".
Not quite exactly. Like in wild guns reloaded, they actually redrew boss sprites and even updated their look a bit. That boss guy is way bigger, has a different look and has a lot more animation than it did on the SNES original.
Well yeah, like Wild Guns Reloaded, this looks to be an enhanced remaster of the SNES game + new content. My point is that it doesn't appear to be a sequel.
This style of enhanced remake is obviously way more work than the typical cheap remaster but the results are powerful.

This is great! I love these kinds of remakes, keeping the original aesthetic while still allowing for improvements inherent in modern hardware (vast colour palette, no slowdown, 16:9 etc.)

It appears to be at the Akihabara Expo center judging by the background, they tend to have open exhibitions for the public for upcoming/new release games. Prolly something for Square/Taito.

The first arcade version of Ninja Warriors is available on PS4, on the Arcade Archives by Hamster if anybody's interested. Ultra Wide support and everything.

I'd love to see Elevator Action Returns brought over (as well as the original), and Arkanoid.
I like grew up with this game or fondly remember it among all the beat-em-ups in the SNES. Like, holy cow!

I'd never heard of this game before, I thought we were getting a game based on the Ninja Warriors TV show and I was very confused.
I love Ninja Warriors Again but this such an odd project. I can't think of any other game that's gotten this particular type of treatment.

I've actually yet to play Wild Guns Reloaded. I didn't know that they added new content till this game came around.
