New Guilty Gear In Development

Hmm, I've heard people talk about this beforehand, this isn't new. However, I guess it's just to re-confirm that they're still making a new Guilty Gear.
I mean, sure I'll probably play her if that's the case, but I like Bedman as a character. It... it just wouldn't be the same...
For real though, I'm hopeful for this game.
I hope they move towards a newer business model, where the upgraded revisions don't keep older players out.
I managed to get some friends interested in rev, but when rev2 came out they dropped it since everyone moved over to the newer version.
I know casuals aren't target for these games, but I'm hoping that changes sooner than later.

Announced for Switch, PC and PS4. XX Accent Core Plus R was also announced for Switch.

Yeah... I highly doubt that they will use new character models for this. But at the same time they don't really have to worry about other people doing what they can do. Not even DBFZ looks better than Xrd in the detail and animation front. Maybe they could probably add more polys to the character models.
I hope they tone down the learning curve for this game just a little bit to pull in new fans.
I'm hoping for that as well. They should make updates universal and free and just charge for extra characters/stages like other fighting games do now.

Sweet. With XX Accent Core Plus R, and the original GG coming to Switch as well. I'm hoping the new game gets a Switch version too, especially since it's bound to run Unreal Engine 4. Xrd's problem getting a Switch version was that the game ran Unreal Engine 3, which the Switch doesn't natively support.
Surely he couldn't show his face with the shame of seeing Johnny in EVO grand final for the fourth time in a row, through 3 years, and after two big patches, huh.

Yes, because Top 32 was all Johnny.
Clearly that character is ungodly broken and in no way was it due to Omito's skill that he keeps winning.
Out of all the fighters they have the most future proof character models.
nah mate, i hope not, guilty gear ain't that kinda game, and its online system is miles better than dbfz anyway. They don't have much to learn from each other, except maybe a season pass
I won't object if it's actually good this time.
With keeping updates for the base game free while new character content is delivered through paid season passes being the new normal for fighters at this point, this seems likely (particularly after the sales for the Xrd games have been underwhelming).
I hope so, but this practice died early this gen and yet they did it with Xrd, so I'm keeping my expectations in check.
Recall reading that they're planning to make the next Guilty Gear less complex, which is fine by me considering that I'm more into the more accessible fighters anyway.

I expect it to, when ASW themselves say western market is critical for the success of their games now.
