If his dog did pass away, then I sympathize for the dog.
Nevertheless, it sounds like he is upset about losing his status with Nintendo and those employed by the company; not so much as showing regret for the pain his actions and words have caused. It wasn't a video showing self reflection & desire to change for the greater good; but a reflection of how he ruined relationships with a company.

Exactly. He's thinking about himself. Money. He says Gamexplain is lying when... those are all real screenshots. He has always been full of shit. He had hidden himself for a few years to try to wash away his extremely bad image, but now he's even worse.
I mean, what can we expect from gamers at this point? They are literally making this about "a fight", when it's an exposé of a terrible human being.

That's pretty bleak, heh. Technically, he said they put the dog down so that it wouldn't have to suffer from complications after the vets tried to resuscitate it so many times, but that's not the same as killing the dog, obviously.

I don't think that's the issue. Personally, I found it odd that he needed to make sure that everyone saw him do it. Ok, well not odd, just emotionally manipulative, but that's just my opinion.
I have to wonder if fishing for sympathy isn't just plan C, since plan A (claim it didn't happen) and plan B (claim it was just an innocent misunderstanding) have no chance after a long public history of this behaviour.
