Fucking finally. Pathetic that it took this long and they needed other companies to take it off first before they had the balls to do it.
You won't be missed, Jones.
This is a nice gesture, YouTube, but why not keep going and get rid of the other voices of alt-right insanity plaguing all of your services?
hmmmSo. Now that Alex Jones no longer has a meaningful platform to sell conspiracy and Bone Broth
[SIPS]
Let me tell you about Sean Hannity

What's the likelihood of Trump tweeting about this in the middle of the night
God this put a smile on my face.Well that was quick, here's the video Alex Jones made in defense of this.
Like Milo's reaction on twitter, this will never get old.Well that was quick, here's the video Alex Jones made in defense of this.
Youtube has been punching ads almost exclusively for PragerU, NRA, and this new "CRTV" featuring Gavin McInnes, Stephen Crowder, literally pushing he "TO OWN THE LIBS!" garbage. Youtube is ironically desperate after Adpocalypse. At the very least, they should stop pushing that vile crap, although I assume this is 100% intentional.
YouTube really deserves a serious competitor.
Can somebody post Twitter Milos Reaction please? I'm on mobile and can't seem to find it. ;)
Now if we could get conservative talk shows off our radio waves I'll be thrilled.
As long as jack runs Twitter, I don't think anyone of y'all should get your hopes up
Because the people running these services all live in the same little bubble. There's no moral or business reason for it, they just decided one day to use their power and it momentarily did some good. The thing that bothers me about this is it doesn't seem to be in response to anything specific.
He has done enough in the past to warrant this type of action, but the tech companies didn't respond. Now, one does and they all follow? What it underlines is that there is no coherent understanding of what constitutes as hate speech, and that rather than guidelines dictating whether action is taken, it seems PR is the greatest factor in constituting "hate speech".
If Apple hadn't removed his podcasts, Spotify and the others wouldn't have reacted. And cue the head-scratching of everyone who has at one point or another 'reported' hateful speech on Twitter and Facebook only for those posts to remain online.
As far as I know, Spotify removed certain episodes of his podcasts - not the entire archive. Apple wiped the whole thing off their servers.
Finally this terrorist is getting his comeuppance.
Now how about the rest of the filth?
The same alt right who supported denying a gay couple a cake and opposed the NFL protests are defending Alex Jones, because of course they are. The can feel that their time is almost up, won't be too long before advertisers start cutting these Nazis fucks off their revenue stream.
So he's Charles Manson?lol terrorist
He's a snake oil salesman who inspires disturbed people to do actual harm, calling him a terrorist is too good for him.

The massive amount of triggering on Facebook is legendary right now.
