Haha, you're giving the consumer too much credit. Why are marketing budgets for games so high? A huge reason is to draw in the casual (which there are plenty here in Era, & that's fine) to purchase xxxxxx on release day.
However... I've never labeled anyone
stupid. And such a leading mindset is part of the problem in platform threads- I want these very gamers to not make
regrettable purchases. With your insinuation, you probably want to create more Nintendo or Developer fanboys (something in the middle?).
wesman, framed it that we should kinda blindly purchase buggy AA & AAA titles to promote & encourage more development specifically for the Switch.
I want the Switch to succeed, but I care about gamers First- fullstop.
I'm not referring to the admirable
tolkir
ONLY positive comments or stfu? ;) Why do you innately believe that there's a mission to sabotage devs or another consumer's decision? I do think some of us here make thorough purchasing decisions- yet we've seen time & time again, users wondering about title xxxxx when impressions was just posted above him/her. Ugh, basic researching involves running a search inquiry.
If someone's repeated opinion for a title is bothersome (even though members here continue to ask again & again...) then Block him or her, because that's what community users do-
inform.
Um... so every fan of Diablo,
BlindBuy? That's concentrated fanboy language; instead we should be trying to Warn those that are interested in Titan Quest, where:
- Your Save maybe gone after xx hours
- No cloud backup solution
- Rare items could vanish
- Hard stage crashes
- Skills not activating
Should they choose to purchase afterwards, then that's their choice. I don't enjoy it when that same enthusiast leaves the Genre which I'm a fan of, because the issues above has affected them... & there are plenty of such gamers upset at xxx hours of progress Lost. Some here aren't aware, days ago I've posted a link. To those interested, click
here.
Yes, probably but not Certainly... hence the information. What the "needs" are of any enthusiast isn't for us to Decide. If they ask about a title then, they're kinda knowledgeable & kinda not- correct?
Price is definitely a talking point- though the bugs are more pressing & urgent... should we exclude this subject entirely when others here inquire about Titan Quest or any other game?
Then let him or her block or better yet,
Report these indefensible comments. I haven't read such Pro-dev & console fanaticalism (sp) in a long while. You haven't once stated that this release has troubling issues. :/
No. If someone is asking: "Should I buy this? Is this good?" then we are all in the position to comment on the possible purchase.
Ask the Mods to make this a rule. Otherwise, No. Obviously, necro-ing a quote isn't advised.
Block, Report, what you View as toxicity.
People, especially Enthusiast to a particular genre, do
not have to buy & play anything when offering opinions if there are wide-spread
- Game-Breaking bugs
- Frame-Rate issues (which particularly bothers them)
Critic reviews, popular streams, & fellow gamer impressions are very, very
RELIABLE.
Seriously, they're not.
Epilexia, I'm telling you as you compose detailed impressions on games that I find interesting & appreciate. Do not be short-sighted here. If I post bugs & an indication to not purchase something yet... it's for everyone including the numerous Lurkers & possibly new additions to Era.
You'll be surprised how some readers
understand something better after a community discussion.
