For those who live in a taco truck desert, al pastor is generally prepared with a pineapple skewered on top so the juice can drip into the meat. Some trucks also slice off a piece of pineapple and add it to the tacos. Which I was vehemently against, until I had some tacos last night. Now I am a fan. Put pineapple on your tacos.

The juice added in, sure.

Actual chunks of pineapple though? Not sure if I would even want to try it, let alone enjoy it.

Yup, al pastor tacos usually have them. Not all tacos would taste great with it, in my opinion but a pineapple based salsa also works.

Hell fuckin' yes.

You can put almost anything on a taco and I'll follow you into that unknown willingly.

Nay.
I can't stand sweet stuff, like pineapple or mango salsa, on my tacos. But in my family, I'm the odd duck. My wife loves it, as do the kids.

Tacos al pastor are the secret greatest taco.
I was unaware of their existence until maybe 1-2 years ago. Changed everything. There is a place down the street that specializes in pastelitos where I first discovered them. It's all I get now. Not sure if they have pineapple juice on them tho, don't recall that sweetness. Admittedly I do tend to drown them in lime and the hot red sauce, so may be missing it.

I was just going to say that Al Pastor is da bomb (pineapple enhanced pork). But I probably wouldn't want a taco just loaded with pineapple as a main filling.

They usually have small chunks of pineapple in them. I actually got stuff to make pulled pork, pineapple and fresh cilantro tacos this week. Super psyched for them.

Team pineapple here. Tacos al pastor are by far my favorite tacos. Even better than fish.

Al pastor is excellent. Any combination of pineapple, meat, and pepper (jalapeno or habanero) is delicious as well.

Hell yeah, I've had some good tacos with pineapple. Or mango, for that matter.

Mango!? I've never heard of that, but I hate mangoes so that's a no for me.

Good al pastor has pineapple right there on the spit cooking along with the meat. Its almost essential to the preparation.
