Honestly, good riddance. I hope they just leave the patreon.
People can like what they want and I can understand preferring some people over others, but when you start asking for apologies from creators over something you don't agree with, you are being ridiculous.
I don't think it's good for any community to have people who feel this entitled. It's not a good look and it puts an unnecessary strain on the creators as somebody will be pissed off whatever they do (it's just the nature of the beast with how many people watch their content).
I don't mind them not watching any of Damiani's content if they don't like it (and they can of course tell somebody they don't like a specific thing if it's in a civilized manner). If I don't like something I don't watch it either, but I would not tell them in their face (that doesn't help anybody) and I certainly would not ask them to apologize/change something because I don't like something they do. What the hell is wrong with people these days.

Just to be clear, I don't mind them not agreeing with something. I don't mind them telling Damiani/EZA about it.
I just can't stand people feeling so entitled that they think it's ok to ask for apologies to a creator because they don't agree with something they do.
I am probably overreacting as I don't know the whole story, but just the fact that somebody is boycotting a video (nobody cares about that) and threatens to keep doing this until a creator (Damiani in this case) apologizes (I do care about that) pisses me off.

What did damiani say? Knowing him what he said was more more more than likely right as he is kind of the most outspoken on how things are
It was probably still the thing about the SNK game (I forgot the name). That some people feel he was incorrect or not doesn't matter in this case (at least for me).
I don't completely agree with what he said either (as I don't think that everybody that plays those types of games is necessarily a bad person or whatever, even though I don't really play those games either), the thing is that asking/demanding for an apology because what he believes in doesn't stroke with what you believe in is something I can't get behind.
People have different opinions. I would probably have said it differently than he did (but I didn't notice the remark the first time I watched it, so I don't thin it was this bad at all). If you really can't cope with it, stop watching, but don't go asking people to apologize or making them feel bad for their opinion.
Yeah, it's not worth it, I know. People telling creators what to do (on the internet or off the internet) is just something that pisses me off for a long, long time. They don't have to like it, but just let them create.

Anyone who claims that Resetera is the number 1 place for EZA whining is delusional. You obviously haven't seen the 4chan threads that have hundreds of comments complaining about Ian, Damiani, and even threads complaining about someone of the girlfriends of EZA members for god's sake. Sure, there's some stupid shit whined about in this thread but it isn't actively toxic like 4chan and the unofficial subreddit.
For the record I think ResetERA is quite good overall, you'll never avoid having some unsavory oddballs :P
Damiani is great! This Evo stream is wonderful as well. I don't know if they did one last year but I'll opt for it over the main stream for some of the games I'm less interested in.
I know YouTube comments can get pretty bad, but I don't remember the comments section on EZA videos getting this bad before. I hope it gets addressed.
The fact that people were okay with a commenter comparing Damiani to people with Asperger's was truly appalling.
I do agree with some of the comments about Damiani being more engaged during moments where Nintendo was involved, but more than anything it seems it was just because he was tired.

Still, no matter how much one pays, these are real human beings we are supporting here. People can just be so hard on others. I can't imagine being so negative that I felt the need to attack one of the Allies or their SO for crying out loud.

I dont at all agree with personal attacks on a person or with the "SJW" cslling. Damiani has been doing a lot of work for EZA with streams and all (I don't watch them but I wouldn't discount them when discussing the man's work). BUT
In the recent podcast he has literally spoken only the topic of Nintendo and Sony sales. The contrast between the amount of talk he has around Nintendo games and everything else is staggering. This is not the only time he has done it either. Usually of a podcast is Nintendo related he will speak for hours. If not then it's as if he's not there.
Before people jump on me here it's absolutely OK to criticise someoness performance in a piece of media. What's is not OK is to use personal attacks. For example:
"Man Ben Affleck was not acting good at all as Batman in Justice League. Dude just did not seem committed to the role at all"
...Is OK. Whereas
"I hope Ben Affleck dies and burns for that piece of shit performance he did in Justice League ruining my childhood heto. Fuck8ng asshole"

Doubt it, they are very US focused. For example Jones equaling Gamescon with PAX or him thinking 360 was the clear winner of last generation or them focusing on US sales and being absolutely clueless about context of Japanese sales.
It just comes with the territory, they are in the US games industry. At most you've got some Japanese non AAA games being discussed like Yakuza or Tales. I mean you can see how people always laugh when Kyle mentions digimon.
Evo is a marathon, Damiani had some difficult spots haha.

Huber mostly around for Tekken which was ideal since we got an American as pro wrestlter King go deep, huge robot Jack vs a panda bear matchup and big boi Astaroth announced for Soul Calibur. Also Huber's reaction over speaker phone to a Walking Dead guest character for Tekken a few minutes after he left.
Dragonball lore master Damiani was giggling every time Yamcha beat up Perfect Cell.
It was nice to have something going on with the stream when they decided to take another 5 minute break, though they do help when the stream is literally going all day/night.

I'm on board with the rest of what you say but this part is just not true. Even if it were, he's filling in for someone else and stayed up 24 hours for the able gamers stream. Shit, maybe he's got a cold, who knows?
Regardless, I think the number of comments and the likes they're getting are indicative of people who just don't like Damiani, or don't like some of the views he has (SNK) and so pile shit on him whenever they see an opportunity.
Have no way of proving this obviously, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Giving to a patreon doesn't mean you have anything to say over what the people you support say or think.
You can tell them in a civilized manner that you don't like specific content, but you for sure don't have the right to criticize their personal life.
If those people feel they don't agree with the people they are watching, they should stop their patronage instead of criticizing.
Again, no problem in disagreeing with some content and you can of course tell them that you don't like specific content, but attacking people on what they think/say or complaining about their girlfriends isn't warranted whatever amount you back them for.
