No Xenoblade Chronicles 2 representation, no buy.
There has to be at least one Xeno 2 character in this Direct considering this is a month from the DLC.
Personally i'd like Jin, Malos or Morag-Brighid, but most likely it will be fcking Rex and Pyra.
Could have a cool moveset with scifi guns and plasma sword, vehicle final smash.
The base roster was finalised in december 2015, so piont agianst arms and xenoblade .
Rec with pyra and mythra I'm 100 confident will be dlc
I'll be surprised if there isn't any Xenoblade 2 representation at some point considering Sakurai made it a point to say how much he loved the game. Who that'll be remains to be seen, but I definitely hope for Malos, though that'll only work if his VA is allowed to shout his battle arts :D
To back up my theory (even though it's pretty much a lock) i'd like to remind you that earlier this year Sakurai wrote on his column for Famitsu, that he played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and liked it a lot.
I'm pretty sure we'll get an online related direct in september.

Hoping for Elma and for Alph to be made an Echo Fighter. It's crazy he isn't.

We wouldn't even know about it until like few hours before the start time.
Generally you don't add unique characters less than a year before release based on a game you just played because you liked it.
I'm the same. I'm looking forward to the modes more than the character announcements.

I'm excited for this because smash bros is my favourite franchise and I'll probably play pretty much nothing else once it releases. On the flip side it feels a little weird as E3 was basically dedicated to smash bros. When do Nintendo plan to give the rest of what they've got planned some attention?
Smash isn't exactly in RDR2's spot where that game actually needs more spotlight.
People know Smash U exists... its constantly on tv on certain channels in America. The casuals know. Hardcore already know.
We just got an extensive look at E3 and here we go with another one! I'm still excited but jeez! At least a character reveal is pretty much guaranteed

I appreciate all the responses to my earlier question. I was truly curious about what people though. It does still seems strange to me seeing Nintendo to follow up their somewhat criticized E3 direct because it featured mainly Smash with more Smash, they could have spaced it out more.
But I certainly look forward to future Directs, sad that I didn't get something that interests me this time but I can wait a few more weeks.

They're going to announce Solaire to hype up to release of DSr on Switch at the start of September.
Well, if someone had hope Nintendo would have something beyond smash and Pokemon this year, sorry.
I know it sucks for a lot of people it's more Smash again and there are plenty of people who don't care for Smash. Maybe September we'll get a general direct.

As awesome as a collection of everything is, I was ready for smash to feel fresh iterations ago.
If they're doing another direct so soon, my guess would be that they aren't really happy that it was mistaken as a port and want to show some new stuff.

Because i don't know if he knew about the game before, this is all speculation.
