How is there not some form of mental competence test to evaluate the overall current mental health and intelligence of our people in office?
He seems to be going much harder lately on the press and the investigation. Maybe because of midterms and the possible blue wave? Or could we be getting some good news drops soon?

The media really only starts wars due to government propaganda. Like, sure the media definitely put the Iraq War in a positive light, but they (along with everyone else) were being lied to by the government on why we were going to war. And in Vietnam the US media were the ones who were essentially responsible for pulling us out of the war.
"Fake news" is not a joke. People saying he's dumb or crazy for using it are wrong. He created a term people can throw out every time their opinions/views are challenged by something or someone in the media. They don't have to give it a second thought. They just say "Oh it's fake news" and move on. Sure you can say they already did this sort of thing but it wasn't fed to them by their president daily to reinforce this impenetrable defense of his actions. It's incredibly dangerous and far reaching and something that his opponents will have to deal with come reelection.
I believe the idea is to convince people that bowing to Kremlin's every demand is the only way to avoid an all out war. And his swallowers are following it.

I've found the greatawakening crowd somewhat worrying. Lately however there have been more than one first page post condemning violence in the vein of "If you're violent you're not a Q'er" (or whatever they call it), which is encouraging I guess. (And perhaps surprising depending on who is moderating and pulling the strings, let's see if it sticks.)

Those unnamed sources were actually intelligence leaked from the White House. Like, I was there and was in the briefings. They had aerial maps, they had eyes on the ground in Iraq, they had mountains of data. Everyone was convinced Iraq had WMDs because the White House provided the (false) evidence. Can't really blame the press on this one, IMO.
