Actually, the Nazis only referred to Jewish and communist newspapers as "lying press" (later, especially after the start of WW2 foreign newspapers were added to this), while Trump goes even further. For him EVERYTHING that isn't right-wing propaganda is "fake". Trump is basically performing a caricature of Nazi propaganda.

That wasn't really because of him- that guy had a beef with those particular journalists. But I can see the press getting roughed up at one of his rallies.

Maybe. But if I was from CNN and attending one of his rallies, I'll probably ask for a bodyguard or two. Or wear a bulletproof vest.
