I've got this catch 10 ghost type research task. Do cemetery stops have these, or is it a go out in the middle of the night thing during foggy conditions deal?
Ghosts pretty much spawn regularly everywhere after 10pm here.

Which is hilarious because Niantic supposedly don't want people playing late at night, which is why they stop raids in the US at 7:30pm.

They spawn semi rarely during 8pm till 8am. Fog weather will boost them, but they'll still spawn in regular weather. I've heard parking lots are good spots for them, but I had no trouble finding them around regular pokestops in the city around 6 and 7 am.

Alternatively there's 2 quest right now that give ghost Pokémon; Make 3 great throws for a ghastly and Transfer 10 Pokémon for a Misdreavus. You can just go around town spinning stops till you get those quest or ask your local community discord for help tracking those quest down.

I've had those quests before. I'll revisit all pokestops and pay attention. Thx.
Be sure they have the mystery egg as a reward. Sometimes you'll get a version that rewards an item (berry, Pokéballs, potion, etc...), you can trash those quest cause you won't get a Pokémon encounter through them.

Waiting for Gen 4 to start so that I can get hyped again. I have a bunch of Pokemon already lined up for their Gen 4 evolution. All I'm really missing from Gen 3 is Chimecho and candy for Salamence.

I have 12 Mewtwo now, so EX Raids lost their freshness a while ago for me.

Really glad that Niantic added the trading. It's made the social aspect so much better, and has given this thing some serious legs.

Got snorlax. Also 2 stops to get ghosts per day.

I'm not bothering with gyms anymore. With multi accounts, they are broken. I was in an area today that's empty and wide open. 2 gyms. There's one with a blissy, and I attacked it at least 20 times, and this guy in a car healed it to max. Team red. He then takes the other gym as yellow and puts 4 people in it.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but the way to heal max is golden razz, which you get from raids. If you have multi accounts, then you win tons of raids and get tons of golden razz. Hence gyms are broken. Oh well.

The big difference is that multi accounts can easily spam golden razzes until 30 minutes pass so the counter is reset. Whereas solo accounts are limited to 10 golden razz per Pokemon.

Eh.. Unless there are like 5+ people actively trying to take down a gym, it won't make that much of a difference. 1 person can easily defend a gym (more so with correct defensive pokemon) from anyone easily.

There's no way one account can defend a gym against one semi-decent player. Obviously you take them out one by one. Not even a Blissey can hold out 30 minutes with 10 golden razzes. It's a different story when there are multiple feeders involved.

I don't agree.

Any defender needs to be taken down three times if they start at full motivation. One berry is a full motivation restore, and needs only be fed once, when motivation is at its lowest. That ratio means one defending player can successfully fend off more than 30 attacks on a single Pokemon, based on its starting motivation.

Most players cannot maintain an average of more than 1 takedown a minute against a Blissey.

Actually, you can. Esp if they only try 1 at a time. A full blissey will take a little bit to try to knock out. I've held a gym for while by just feeding it golden razz berry just by myself. It will take the user probably little over a minute to get a 3000+cp blissey to 1/3 motivation. And at that point, you golden razz it to full health. I've also tried taking out a gym while someone was feeding it, and nearly impossible if the other guy is patient and watching constantly.

You don't need to attack 30 times. They need to golden razz after two attacks, unless you also use normal berries but that will just make the whole process easier. Two minutes for a full Blissey. One for a 2/3 Blissey. It's doable.

Yes, you do. The ratio is still 3 to 1, just offset because the feeding is during the last of the three attacks.

Granted, the attacker basically never starts a battle with the defender at full motivation this way, but with something as tanky as a Blissey that really doesn't matter a whole lot.

What? No, it's not. When you're in the third battle and he/she feeds a golden razz during it, it will go down from max to 2/3. Which is why it's always more optimal to feed a golden razz before they start the third battle. You don't have to average 1 minute per Blissey battle.

I think the other part your missing out on for timing here is that when you battle it the first time round your using your best attackers
Those attackers get damaged and you either need to move on to your B , C , D team or take the time out to heal them and that time out is taking time off your clock until the berry counters reset.

For defending having a big blissy at the start (or even on position 2) in a gym when your one of the last ones in makes it easy to defend and i've held a gym for over 30 minutes a few times in the run up to an ex raid

It's super easy to make a defender waste 10+ berries before the 30 minute limit

It becomes impossible with multiple account folks

I'm only refuting the statement that you need to attack 30 times. You don't. You need to average about 2.5 minutes for two battles. The last round you need to battle three times, yeah.

Weren't there rumours of raising the level cap? Maybe there's use for the 12 lucky eggs I have stashed.

Holdup, I have to collect 400 more magikarps and evolve it a 2nd time? God damn. I thought I could go to a local lake that's 3 miles long with those pineapples and get 140 candies or 20 catches, but I only got 4. Seems they've spread the fish pokemon across more types, so this may take 10 more laps.

Have they done magikarp events? Double candy?

Are magikarps more frequent with rivers vs lakes?

I guess I know where to walk off eggs.

What do you mean a second time?

The "catch 10 Pokemon" research quest with an encounter for a reward will net you a Magikarp.

The double candy anniversary event has already come and gone.
