Why? I don't get it. The more accounts the better. I don't see anything negative about it.
Less damage balls, twice the golden razzes to defend with. Next time they're going to add both accounts in gyms since they have a second phone anyway so why not? Everyone seems cool with it during raids. They probably don't think about the consequences.

I don't mind at all if you're physically there since you made the trip. The more the merrier. But using an account of someone else or using a second account of yourself in addition of your own account is against the spirit of the game in my opinion. It's as simple as that. I'm not going to tell you how to play though. Just giving my two cents.

How else do you think I got that Shiny Absol? Lol

Other than "duo" raids and other raids where we need an extra player, I mainly just make sure she caught a Pokemon, spin a stop and completed a quest.

Here in Los Angeles West side I see tons of people with multi accounts. Some crazy people with up to 6 devices which is nuts. But everyone detests spoofers. While doing raids if something doesn't add up , there were times when people would say to back out and then make a private group .

I also encounter spoofers galore when I play in Santa Monica. No matter what raid is there 20 players will appear even if I'm all alone. Wouldn't be surprised if it's the most spoofed place in all of los Angeles.

Does increasing your badge level at gym do anything? Like getting gold on your gym badge by battling and defending a specific one continuously?

You'll get more items, even more if it's your own colour. Try spinning a gym when you're hitting your 7 day streak.

That's about it. I would have liked a feature where the person with the most badge xp in the current gym is the gym leader. Wouldn't be too hard to implement, really. The game already tracks and shares your gym badge level when waiting in the raid lobby.

Right on. So at least there's something to it.

Upgraded my Gotcha and took it out again. Managed 33 Pokémon caught, including a Shiny Swablu before the battery was out. Time to recharge and start using it more again. Going to have to dump Ultra Balls though to make room for normal ones, I have about 450 Ultra Balls and less than 30 Normal + Great.
Also finally have my first Registeel. We did the raid with 6, with a level 23, 28 and 30 even, but my team lasted through the entire battle (even outlasted the obligatory Aggron someone else had) and we got it with less than 30 seconds on the clock. Got 13 balls (got a Great Friend bonus ball although I don't think I should have) and needed 10 of them to get it.

I can't stand when all of someone's accounts are the same team and they use their army in gyms, dick move. Either have them be on different teams or only put one account in a gym.

lol, this reminds me of the "if you use a car to get around while playing you're cheating" utter nonsense.

So if my girlfriend can't make it but I can, or vice verse, we can just fuck off? Nah, that kind of attitude can fuck off. Aside from the fact that in many areas people need every single player they can get in order to raid after the first couple days of a new boss. If it weren't for spouses or parents representing other family members I'd never be able to complete tier 5s. If you really have that much of a problem with it, form your own private raid sessions. Problem solved. Best of luck to you in regularly getting enough players.

I only have one account of my own but lately I have been carting around my coworker's old phone because she has been too bogged down with work to play and any shinies I can bring her are one of the few joys she has left.

We're also both Instinct, which basically means we still don't add up to the base advantage of a single Mystic or Valor player.

That's a strawman.

I wouldn't be an ass about it if you did it, but I would be more picky what raids I choose in the future, yeah. Like you said, raids are cooperative. The fun comes from meeting different people from different backgrounds and to socialize with them. I find that people who use multiple accounts are more preoccupied with themselves and getting a chance to catch shiny legendaries than anything else. Obviously this isn't always the case. Just my experience.

I do the Community events for my mom since she has problems walking for long periods of time and I'll do quests and stuff for her when she can't. She loves the game and wants to collect every Pokemon. I'm not a high level player (I haven't even reached level 10) and rarely do things on my own account.

Not everyone who has multiple phones is trying to boost or get some other sort of advantage.

I'm definitely not trying to get any kind of advantage over others. A lot of us aren't trying to take advantage.

So an email from Niantic is telling me that Shiny Wingull will be a thing during the Yokosuka Safari Zone event at the end of the month. One can assume it'll have a temporarily boosted shiny rate, similar to Roselia, Plusle, and Minun before it. Is this new news or was this already known?

It was already known.

It is a little counterintuitive, but I guess it makes sense as a way to encourage players to trade away rarer catches rather than transfer or stockpile them. It removes some of the stakes from each individual trade since both players can get something relatively valuable from a trade involving a single rarer Pokemon. Otherwise people would be more likely to refuse anything that wasn't a balanced trade.

Yeah I guess, enjoying the extra candy at the moment anyway, done a lot of like for like trades today. Got a lucky Charmander and Aron earlier.

Got another 87% Mewtwo lol, second one now. Raids seem so crappy at the moment, everything that spawns is a Porygon or a Flareon. Picked up a 100% Makhuita from a raid though haha.

Haven't even done a Raichu or Marowak raid yet. And more Registeels have run away than been caught.

It's a tough stretch.

That's a false equivalency.

I have caught everything on my account myself. I have fought every gym and done every raid myself. I have no sympathy for people who share. If I can't get to something you know what happens? I just don't get it. It's pretty simple.

I never have trouble getting numbers for raids, I promise you if I want to raid at any point during day I can find a group. It's a pretty strong community here. Sorry you don't have that.

We do private lobby out spoofed accounts when we see them. We have private lobbied out cheaters. We regularly complete raids with zero issues.

Do what you want. Play how you want. You don't need my permission. The same as I don't need to respect account sharing.

Give me a break, lol.

People like you are just ridiculous. It's a damn game and you can't "respect" that some people don't have the means or opportunity to attend raids regularly or easily? What a way to live to be so concerned. It's frankly pathetic and laughable that you could be so high and mighty as to even bring "respect" into the discussion over spouses and family members helping each other out in a video game by playing for them when they can't to begin with. How you can't see how ridiculous that looks is beyond me.

If you're able to do these raids privately, then why on Earth do you have any reason or justification to care anyway? Get over yourself and protecting the "sanctity" of the "spirit" of Pokémon Go. Play with your group. Have fun. Knock yourselves out. Stop being concerned with how others choose to, or potentially have to play.

And it really isn't a false equivalence at all. The whole nonsense about going against the "spirit of the game" frequently came up among the oddballs who couldn't deal with people not walking everywhere, because walking "was the point". Same with nonsense about respect and an unwillingness to bother understanding differing personal situations.

Ok then don't talk to me anymore. The general lack of "respect" you've been showing in these posts means I don't really care what you have to say. I'm being civil, you're being aggressive.

I have the right to choose who I play this game with on my terms. I don't need your judgment or vitriol.

Good day.

I have leeway towards multi accounts when it comes to raiding. They're valuable when you barely have enough numbers.

The worst is gymming. They can take out gyms faster, fill up more slots and defend better than my single account. It's a bit unfair. But then I choose to play with my one and only account for my own principled reasons.

Registeel is much easier than Regice and can be taken down with four players quite easily with the right counters. They don't even have to be max level or Moltres. Flareons could do it. It's just that most people don't know how to use their Pokemon effectively. Which is up to the community to inform its players. If you don't join communities and expect to do raids regularly, then yeah, it's going to be an issue.

Multiple accounts is lame for gyms but I'm not really bothered about it for raids. We always get numbers here so another account really has no effect, although they should crack down on it a bit more. Seeing gyms stacked with variations of the same name is a bit disheartening.

I haven't done a single Registeel raid yet and since most people won't bother with it anymore I'm not sure I'll even get a chance. But I don't really need it anyways.
Where is Groudon goddammit!!!??

People are so lazy with gyms. I'm on foot next to a historic house killing team red, and this lazy bitch pulls up in her car to the private entrance area and keeps healing. So I just sit down and keep churning. after 10 minutes, she drives off looking at me with this distraught look.

Last month's research rewards for one(sorry)

The one apartment complex I lived in outside downtown Norfolk attracted them on a fairly regular basis too for some reason, saw and caught numerous of them in that complex.

Yea, I figured Snorlax should be easy to get. I've caught 250 chinpokomon in my chinpokomondex but I've only encountered Snorlax once. Berry + ultra ball nice throw and runs I shit you not. I've played in several locations in Austin, Boston, various airports, San Francisco, Peru, and Aruba briefly.

he's a pretty rare spawn, a fairly rare egg hatch (not even sure if he still hatches).

You see them in gyms all the time because they are a top choice to defend a gym, if there isn't a Blissey or a Snorlax in a gym, any good player will stick one in there if they have one.

they were also incredibly easy to get last month with the research quest 7-day reward being a free one.

Maybe I'll hatch him one day. I'm mostly playing now for light cardio.

Speaking of Relicanth, I have a fun story to share.

Two days ago at the office, Thursday.

Me: So you're a spoofer?
Co-worker friend: No, I don't spoof.
Me: But last night you send me a gift and its from New Zealand...show him the gift he send me which I didn't open.....
We both lol and he agree to trade a spare Relicanth to me...832cp

Now I'm gonna rely on him to trade me some regional Pokemons........evilsmile.jpg

I've got this catch 10 ghost type research task. Do cemetery stops have these, or is it a go out in the middle of the night thing during foggy conditions deal?
