That just makes it worse. LOL.I think Clavell figured that some of the more esoteric Japanese names would be too hard for Western readers to remember.

LMAO Thor is on FX all fucking day. they need to start showing the americans to everyoneWill they have time to air this between showings of Thor, Thor 2, and Two and a Half Men?
alex garland directing every episode means they're up for the job tho.Devs is going to have a hard time being more interesting than Mr. Robot.
How good is whirlwind? It seems really interesting and I LOVE Shogun, but at the whopping length it's always good to get impressions first lolShogun is one of my favourite books ever. James Clavell's Asian saga is soooooo good. I'm super excited for this adaptation.
I thought Disney didn't get any of the TV stuff? Are we still worried about Disney and FX? The shogun series will be awesome
This was ordered to series a couple months ago. Also in the Article sounds like they are also picking up the TV series spinoff of what we do in the shadows, which is awesome news also worthy of mentioning.
Who was worried? It never made any business sense for them to buy FX and then meddle with it. Disney has no need to change it when they already have other demographics covered by other channels. It's neither made redundant by other Disney channels, nor does Disney need more space on cable for family/kids programming. Are we still worried about Disney and FX? The shogun series will be awesome
The Last Samurai is also a poor man's Glory. Zwick copied scenes from his own previous and superior film!
what the fuckShogun is an absolute classic, although the name changes (Tokugawa is changed to Toranaga, and so on) will be irritating to anyone who knows about the Sengoku era.

Edit: well fuck me some jackass bought the rights and pulled the ebook
Who does that in 2018?
tbh it'll probably grow into being about anything by the next seasons
I thought they were talking about airing Wellington Paranormal in the US, but it seems to be a new, US-based spinoff of WWDITS
Yeah US here and the ebook has been pulled everywhere =\Whirlwind is my least favourite of the saga, not sure if I was just burnt out at that point, or if it's because it's the only one set in the modern era, or the depressing premise, but either way it's still written in his usual style, full of hundreds of characters, dozens of plotlines, doing epic Machiavellian shit long before George RR Martin and Game of Thrones.
That's weird about the ebook. I read these books long before the Kindle even existed, lol. But having a quick look at Amazon UK, I can see them all available on Kindle! I wanna re-read them, but I'm knee deep in the Malazan series and I don't read more than one fiction book at a time or I get completely lost...
