Usually I've begun to like hot things be it hot chocolate, hot porridge, hot pies, hot puddings etc...

Ice cream has always been tasty but the cold factor, especially when it comes straight out of the freezer is not as appealing for me as it used to be as a kid.

I don't mean turning my ice cream into a hot mess but I just toss it into the microwave for 10-15 (at most) seconds so that melts a bit and also isn't as cold in some places.

Idk I just prefer it that way then it as a fully cold dessert. I think my current habit came from liking how hot pies or lava cakes would melt your topped ice cream a bit and so I just do a similar process with the ice cream itself.

So Era does anyone else like doing that, do you do it with those ice cream bars too by any chance?

Oh how rude of me, let me toss an internet pic as well to get the picture (all though this is more melted then what I currently do)

I'll leave it out for a bit on a counter if it's super frozen. I guess I might nuke it for a few seconds to soften it (but never have).
But I definitely wouldn't want it watery. There's always that lil bit at the end that's melted which is fine, but a full serving like that just wouldn't suit me.

As for doing it to icecream sandwiches/bars? Absolutely not.

No

When I bring the tub out of the freezer, I open it and let it sit for a couple of minutes or so, so that it becomes softer and easier to scoop. That's it.

Basically have to microwave Halo ice cream to give it that creamy texture, so yeah.
yeah pretty much what I do too

I think you might like milkshakes
I don't want to drink it

I tried, it just doesn't feel the same way either

occasionally I microwave it too much and I get some parts that are warmer then normal but hey I am not complaining

No, but I can understand wanting to speed up the melting process of some harder ice-creams.
yeah some ice creams are just hard rocks once out of the freezer

I can see wanting to warm it up to the point where it's just slightly melting. Usually I just by pouring something hot or warm on it, like espresso or some kind of sauce, though.

I microwave it for a bit if I can't scoop any ice cream out, otherwise no.

Jared Leto does this.

But yeah, I don't like ice cream alone, it's just too cold. Gimme a scoop of vanilla on a hot piece of chocolate cake and it's hard to beat.

People who microwave their ice cream are 2 steps removed from serial killers.

Also if you barbarians are having trouble scooping your hard ice cream just run a metal spoon under hit water for 30 seconds and it will cut through. Stop being weird. For once. Fuck.

I always thought I've seen it all with these threads. Especially the one about the floss.

This proves I have not.

some of you guys need to try it before you hate it

did you ever have semi melted ice cream on a hot pie or cake?

same thing minus the pie or cake

it is like some delivery pizza tasting better the second day after putting it in the oven and getting it somewhat crispy

Why not just use whip cream op it's basically what you've reduced it to . Or just buy whip cream and dump it on

whip cream is not the same as ice cream

I also don't like extremely cold ice cream... it is like having cold milk with your cereal

trying to enjoy the bits and stuff but the coldness is too much for my liking

My grandma used to do that for me when I was a kid. Not melting or anything but made it smooth and would stir it up so it resembled soft serve.

I like to grill my orange juice.
I just put it in a ziploc bag and let it freeze, then I take the frozen orange juice out of the bag and lay it on the grill for about 15 or so seconds. Delicious.

people always place a bad stigma on melted ice cream but honestly it isn't that bad, you just think of the mess it makes in a portable scene (cone or stick) and then plaster the image into believing that melted or semi melted ice is terrible when it isn't, it is just messy

get the mess factor out and you got yourself a real treat

I can understand letting it out to melt, but microwaving it sounds disgusting, something you shouldn't do. Just like you shouldn't microwave water or milk.

I don't microwave it but I do absolutely leave it on the counter for about 10 or 15 minutes so that it melts a bit and becomes soft instead of ice hard. It tastes much better that way.
