Do the videos confirm 60 fps + native undocked? Thanks

The animation is so damn good. I bought the PC version in Early Access and stopped playing it after a short while because I wanted to save it for the full release. I'll probably get the Switch version too.

How does this compare to Hollow Knight atmosphere-wise?

It's less of an atmosphere and more of a set piece. The story is barebones, just enough to serve as a launch point.

The draw here is the clean platforming and challenging combat built into the gameplay loop, all augmented by a slight risk / reward.

Are there permanent stuff you can get from runs in this game? Not really a rouge fan but this looks great. Need my failed runs to contribute long term though.

I love this game on PC. Switch version looks good too going to pick that up, excited to play it anywhere.

As a matter of curiosity, is there a big update that the PC version is going to get on the 7th? Or will playing now be a solid "1.0" experience?

Played it a bit around EA Launch but chose to wait for 1.0 before a serious playthrough.

Great SOTN fan here. Been waiting for a similar experience. Would this game fit? What i enjoyed most from SOTN was the sensation of loneliness in a creepy castle, that OST! .
Hollow Knight seems great but a bit too cartoony for my tastes. So maybe this one could fill the wait until bloodstained is released.
Also does ps4 version use the dpad for control? That would be great too.

Thats the real question...the Switch videos posted above look good and appear to be 60fps. But AFAIK there hasnt been a confirmation that the game runs flawlessly at 60fps.

There really needs to be a digital foundry type of thing for undocked games on Switch. There are some videos that do this but not much. With the steady releases of good indies now on Switch this will help out a lot especially those who want to decide between two systems.

Each area you are in is set up like SOTN and these areas slightly different every time but the game is a rogue like which means you can accrue upgrades to use on future runs. The scale is smaller too. It's made to be replayed over and over with better stats and equipment like Rogue Legacy. It's not really the next version of SOTN, just has some elements of the game. Check some more gameplay videos. I think this game is worth owning and one of the best games I played in the last year but I wouldnt go in expecting the next SOTN.

Capturing direct-feed undocked Switch footage is now a reality, so getting a better idea of how a game performs undocked can be done.

Era pls, I need to know if I can get this on Switch or if I should rather get it on Xbox or Ps4?

I know it's probably not the most demanding game but at face value neither does Gungeon and that doesn't run all that well on Switch.

Watch the Switch videos in this thread (IGN and NateDrake) and/or wait for final impressions next week.

Somone confirm resolution and fps (at work).

I'm on the fence between PS4 and Switch.

It plays very well on Switch. Some very rare and minor drops may occur during the more intense sequences, but by no means game breaking.

Not even a bit of HK atmosphere, is the typical Rogue Like game, you just go forward and kill stuff with very little sense of purpose.

I get bored of it after half hour, I wish it had anything to do with HK but nope, sadly :/

The opposite was true for me.

I bought both games during a Steam sale last year and Dead Cells completely stole the show from Hollow Knight. I found it far more fun to play.

Just pre-purchased on Switch (so it's 20% off), Hollow Knight and Binding of Isaac are two of my top 3 most played Switch games, so I have a feeling this will last me quite a while.

So, what's the difference between the Early Access version and the full release content-wise? I haven't played it but I'm really looking forward to do it (already preordered on Switch) and I'm curious

If you mean compared the PC version right now, I don't think there is much difference. The game has changed significantly from a year ago though ranging from just additions like new levels to straight up mechanics like how weapons interact with stat upgrades.
