We will either do it one of two ways:

A. Sign the art send it back to Sony to be sealed.

B. Order extra artwork and have it signed to just include in an order.

I think B is the way to go personally and it will decrease production time and avoid anyone getting mad that they have a signed copy.

If we went the A route we would inform the customer first and if they delince we would "reroll" a winner.
Ah I didn't hear about option B on the stream, but that's actually even better! Hope I get a signed one!

Anyone know how long the Oxenfree preorder window is open? I'd like to combine it with with a future shipment and not just order it.

Oxenfree is a open pre-order right? The email makes it seem like it's limited to a certain amount of copies like the PS4 version was.

Just read somewhere La Mulana 2 is releasing soon. If it's as good as the first one I hope we get to see a physical release some day :D

Pre-orders of oxenfree last until 10th August right? So I can grab Oxenfree with PGGB and late shift?

Yep, that's what I'll be doing minus Late Shift. doing the same thing with West of Loathing and Dust unless there's something else in between. With the preorders I alway try to save it for two games so I can get a box upgrade for free.

It's already out on Steam and yes, it's good. I'm enjoying it much more than the original. There are a lot of quality of life touches and improvements that make it feel more polished, while still retaining the difficulty of the first.

Right, it IS out indeed !
I'm not afraid to admit I used a walkthrough for most of the first game, but damn I loved it for being so clever and tentacular.
Hopefully the second game is everything I ever wanted and your comment is really giving me hope :D

I don't think that's ever happening.

You're right, the Vita's end of production is closing in :/
Hopefully we get at least a PS4 version (but a Switch would be great too).
Heck, if there's no choice I could go for a PC one.
There was a reward tier in the KS campaign for a physical release but it was too expensive for me. $75 + shipping and I wasn't even sure if it was PC only although it was the most logical.

Thanks to all that answered! It's going to be strange not grabbing anything today, are there any localization projects apart from fata morgana ?

So Oxenfree's an open order? Huh, the email yesterday 100% made it sound like that's not the case. Gross.

Our latest Switch game is on sale now - Night School Studio's critically acclaimed adventure game, Oxenfree! This game is available exclusively at www.limitedrungames.com.

We released this game in 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and all 5,000 copies sold out within minutes. Don't miss your chance to add the Switch physical release to your collection.

This has a full-color booklet and an absolutely stunning holofoil cover (and holofoil interior art). You'll have to see it to understand how incredible it looks!

Unless you got a different email, I don't get it.

Mentioning that the 5000 PS4 copies sold out in minutes and "don't miss your chance" very much reads to me like "you better get it right away".

I missed all Switch games are preorders though, that's great to know. It's a trend I'd like to see more, like in the case of Bastion.

More just perception. I mean, if you miss the pre-order, you don't get it. So "pre-order right away to secure a copy" was how I saw it. Nothing "gross" about it, just a misconception.

And why not mention the two week order period? As you say, Curler, it's perception but it really feels to me like they were trying to make it sound more limited than it is to prey on people's fomo. Which I find a bit gross.

I'm not trying to make it a big issue of it or trying to get people riled up, just mentioning how I feel about it. I think they could be a bit more transparent in the emails in cases like this.

On a different note, I didn't realize they've already done 10 Switch games. I'm glad they're announcing them so quickly.

I've deleted the email, but if they didn't mention for how long pre-orders will be open, that's a really valid point to bring up indeed.

It's still a matter of perception. We haven't had ANY Switch game yet that wasn't a pre-order, so that's one very safe assumption. "Don't miss your chance" is just a variation of a standard sales pitch, and looks like they were just saying how popular enough the game was that the other version sold so fast. Regardless they ARE still Limited (Run), so of course they sell ("prey") with the limited mindset. I honestly don't see anything in the same mindset that you (or the other user) are seeing it as though, sorry.

I think you are making this worse than it is, we simply forgot to add the two week part and once it was out didn't think anything of it since all of our Switch games have been two weeks.

Pre-ordered Oxenfree. My SO just played it and gave some good impressions on it, so I'm excited that the game gets a physical release. I think the next LRG release I really want is Golf Story. Is there a date for Golf Story yet?

Why isn't Oxenfree listed as pre-order on the website?
When you click on it, it says this:

Please Note: This item is a preorder and will not ship out until the games are manufactured with Nintendo. Due to the long production times associated with Switch cartridges, we expect to ship this item out by late October. All orders are considered final and can not be canceled.

Every other game has [PREORDER] on the title, except for Exile's End (which is not a pre-order title) and Oxenfree (which is a pre-order title).

Those games were tossed up in the recent week where there was stuff like Exile's End being released. It's helpful when there's like 8 new listings going live, several of which soldout quickly. All we got this week was Oxenfree, and you can take the 30 seconds to read the product listing. I don't believe previous batches with preorders added the [PREORDER] tag to a title.

Got an email with production updates which is awesome! I have a lot of games on order that I have been (un)patiently waiting for. Was hoping for 2064 and VALL this month to give me some new games to play on my travels.

Meanwhile, I sit here awaiting the games they announced 2 (?) years ago for physical release.

I know Doug's hands are tied for talking about it, but I really wish someone would say something about the status of Fault/Narcissu/WEE on Vita.

Guess I'll open my wallet again, reluctantly... glad the VN Kickstarters have greatly slowed down now. But Sekai, you gotta be more transparent :/

Word. It's kind of hilarious I haven't had anything ship in months. I like that they are doing preorders these days, but receiving things has slowed down tremendously as a result.

ncJBv4M.png

how many of these are switch?

honestly i don't really mind pre-orders since i'm not an american and i more or less use the hold feature so it'll be months before they ship together anyways

Sekai Project dangling the Physical Release carrot again.

No thanks. I learned my lesson from last time. I've been waiting 2+ years and they still haven't released anything from LRG's partnership. And the game remotely close to releasing, Rabi Ribi, keeps getting delayed.

Sekai Project never answers our questions. Shizuka and I can attest to that.

The last genuine response we got was to "expect news at PSX" and it wasn't much.

Ha:

Also:

"We haven't forgotten about them, but we also need to look at what is viable and move projects around potentially to newer systems with more market reach."

"Our in-house Unity engine hit some snags in terms of performance on the Vita as well, which is why we did not want to rush any of these games out, we want them to look, sound and perform better than ever."

That sounds... oddly conflicted. So we're definitely getting some cancellations then, but might get one or two of them? Poor showing as expected, but at least they're finally talking.

If this is a result of LRG giving them a kick up the backside about actually responding to Vita questions, then thanks guys :P
