These two right here. Depends on my mood as to which one is the best.

Three way tie between:
Tical
Supreme Clientele
Return to the 36 chambers

Liquid is amazing but there are a lot of throwaways.

B-Dubs

That's some catch, that catch-22

It's Liquid Swords. The interesting convo is which one is second best.

To me its Liquid Swords but while I would disagree with you I wouldn't say you were wrong if you chose that purple tape. I remember it well because I bought at least three copies, all cassette so I lost one dropping it on the street while flipping it in my Walkman and the others I wore the tape out. Most of the ghost stuff I have heard was really good. No out and out classics in my opinion but nothing less than good, definitely the most consistent Wu-Member in both quantity and quality.

Also, they can be rough listens in the world of 2018 and their not directly Wu-Tang but I also will still listen to both the already mentioned Heavy Mental by Killah Priest ( in fact if I am being honest it's his only album I like but I truly love it ) and Six Feet Deep by Gravediggaz which is really rough to listen to with how I feel about the world but RZA at his grimiest, Price Paul's minimalist production countered with a few songs produced by RZA During one of his early creative highs.

For me it's Liquid Swords. I'm not a huge hip hop head, so could somebody explain why there aren't more picks for ODB here? I was under the impression that there was a lot of love for Dirt McGirt.

Just a dumb Wu-Tang anecdote:

When I was a freshman in college in '96 the dining hall had this new state-of-the-art video jukebox thing. Big old CRTs hung around the hall and you could pick a song for free and it'd queue up and play the video to get some music playing while you ate.

They had Daytona 500 from Ghostface on there, the video that's just old Speed Racer clips. We'd a;ll get a tray of food and then all hit that jukebox individually and request Ghostface and then go sit down. Everyone in that dining hall had to hear that shit about 3-4 times an hour for MONTHS when we'd all go eat, it was ludicrous.

Yeah, it's easily Liquid Swords. Shut, that was the album that got me into Wu Tang.

True fans can't single one out. It would be like picking a favorite child.

You can have a favorite member, but there are so many great albums, it's impossible to pick one.

It's a hard pick. If you have Verbal Intercourse on your album, you know you're fighting for the first place.

For me it's unquestionably this album:

So good. I can play this all the way through and not skip any tracks. Some of the bests beats RZA has produced.

Runner up:
1200x630bb.jpg

This is probably a controversial pick cause I understand it's not well liked but to me it's proba...dodo do dodoo doo dodoo dododo dododo

What are y'all's favorites?
I think my choice is the first Bobby Digital album... I just really like RZA.

So shout out to all the folks that said Supreme Clientele. I hadn't ever listened to it and bought it and dayum, it's fucking fantastic. Good shit. Thanks a bunch. (Ghostface the best member?)

Also on a side note, I thought I'd mention a secret Wu inspired album that no one mentioned.

Fast Shadow and Samurai Showdown are some solid tracks. It's a shame that Killah Priest's track didn't make it in the OST however:

He's my personal favorite. He's definitely the most consistent of all of them.

Don't think the ghost dog album counts. I really only liked his theme when he's performing his kata on the roof.

This question is unfair. Too many amazing albums from one camp, probably the GOAT posse when all is said and done.

That said, I prolly listen to Liquid Swords and Supreme Clientele the most these days. LS is just an untouchable classic, and SC is such pure, undistilled Ghostface and so densely-packed with crazy bars...

Both among the best hip-hop albums of the modern era, imo. Put a gun to my head and I'd prolly just eat lead.
