I would sacrifice a good number of things to see that show get closure.
How could you, the show is ... Unforgettable!
Thank you, thank you, I will be here all week. Try the veal and don't forget to tip your waiter!
I think we're only going to start seeing that more and more. This year, however, was significant since one network (Fox) was doing a clean sweep of their schedule, and fortunately in this day and age, other networks and services were willing to pick up their leftovers. What also helped was that the shows that Fox cancelled were already running for a few years, whereas if you look at when NBC did their clean sweep back in 2013-2014, the majority of shows that they cancelled where only around for 1-2 seasons.Has there ever been a year where so many cancelled shows were revived?
Agreed. I mean, is there really any difference from being like 63 or say 57 on the list. It's basically meaningless.
If you weren't I would have. Go balls out for the last season.

This is just going to end with a cliffhanger again, isn't it? What a ridiculous decision by NBC, if there's one show that doesn't deserve to come back for a finale it's this one.https://variety.com/2018/tv/news/nbc-sets-timeless-two-part-series-finale-1202891016/

The former secretary of state is teaming with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television to bring Elaine Weiss' critically acclaimed book The Woman's Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote to the small screen. The drama will mark Clinton's debut as an exec producer.
The book, published in March, follows the activists who led the decades-long fight to grant women the right to vote and sheds light on how close the battle to ratify the 19th Amendment really was. The book celebrates those who changed history and laid the foundation for the civil rights movement that came decades later.
After optioning the book, Amblin plans to adapt it as either a TV movie or a limited series. A writer is not yet attached. Amblin TV, a division of Spielberg's Amblin Pictures, will shop The Woman's Hourto premium cable (think HBO, Showtime) or streaming platforms (a la Netflix, Apple, Amazon and Hulu). Clinton will exec produce alongside Amblin TV co-presidents Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey and author/journalist Weiss.
The SVOD service has ordered the six-part series from British production company Sly Fox Productions in association with Ferncroft Media and it comes hot on the heels of the order of Hugo Speer and Sharon Small-fronted London Kills and the second season of Ashley Jensen's Agatha Raisin.
Queens of Mystery was created by New Tricks and Doc Martin writer Julian Unthank and will air in the U.S. and in English-speaking territories via Acorn TV as three feature-length episodes as well as six 45 minute episodes. It will launch in 2019 and will be distributed internationally by ZDF Enterprises.
Cool, I really enjoyed the book.
The movie left out a lot of stuff, especially withHuh. Is there really that much more to do with it that isn't already accomplished by the movie?

The book is worse. Book Henry gets fucked up by the end.Hmmm... I'll have to check out the book. The movie always leaves me in a puddly mess though.
"Dylan Dog" is being developed as a 10-episode live-action series based on Tiziano Sclavi's popular franchise chronicling the exploits of its titular British paranormal investigator, who with his sidekick Grouch, a Marx impersonator, takes on cases that usually involve monsters, ghosts, vampires, werewolves and zombies. The 25-year-old comic book series, published in the U.S. by Dark Horse Comics, boasts more than 500 installments and sales of more than 50 million copies in 30 countries.
Hollywood indie Hyde Park Entertainment's 2011 movie adaptation of "Dylan Dog" was panned, including by Variety critic Dennis Harvey, who called it "Yankified fantasy comic adaptation" and an "uninspired hash of familiar genre ideas."
I haven't read The Time Traveler's Wife, but it does sound like a similar concept.
The last Golden Age of Television was also the Golden Age of television criticism, in the form of long, episodic reviews of almost every show imaginable. What did the form teach us? The great recappers of the era reflect.
This reminds me... did Sepinwall ever start a new podcast? Or is TV podcasting still cancelled like a Fox scifi show?A few recent(ish) articles:

I don't get why all these TV critics can't do a consistent podcast. I mean, yeah, there's the few remaining staples, but I just want a dedicated TV news/preview podcast where people talk about the screeners they watched and how they die when they do 2 months of TCA every year. lolNothing new from Sepinwall yet. Hopefully he'll get on it sooner or later.
Seems like about 5 or 6 with only one that he's recorded the VO.Wow, so they have enough footage to put together some episodes...
ALF may be making a return to TV. A reboot of the popular '80s alien sitcom is being explored by Warner Bros TV, Deadline has learned.
Oh wow. I wonder if it'll all just be diegetic narration, using the ambient sounds and whatever he says on camera to tell the story.Seems like about 5 or 6 with only one that he's recorded the VO.
I want a gritty ALF reboot where he starts selling crack in order to get more cats to eat.
Ratsky probably has a better idea than I do. I'm not sure they ever gave a specific reason, but it was delayed right when they were pivoting to their cheap, international co-production strategy. They've complained about it being too expensive, but if that's the case I'm not sure why they didn't just air it and then cancel it.

.It doesn't look that expensive. I mean, it's well shot, but it's not extravagant.
Deadline said:Kary Antholis, president, HBO Miniseries and Cinemax Programming talked about the series future beyond a second season last fall, noting that the show is expensive, and, because its U.S. airing comes more than a year after the season was filmed, the options on the cast have long lapsed.
"I think the new season is very strong, and I hope it's got a bit more fun and entertainment in it, and is a step forward," Antholis told Deadline. "In success, we left open the possibility that we could have a conversation about figuring out a way to bring it back." Because the show is so expensive, "part of the consideration in doing that will be, what are the constraints, are there other co-production opportunities that maybe have a more efficient impact," Antholis said.
Wow! I was actually wondering if this was gonna get rebooted when I was watching the Very Special Episodes from Funny or Die. This may be a bit too far.

A Japanese version of legal drama Suits is set to hit TV screens in October after leading network Fuji TV signed a deal with NBCUniversal International Formats, its first scripted format sale in the country.
The 11-part hourlong series will run on Fuji TV in its coveted Monday 9 p.m. slot and be produced by the network in collaboration with its subsidiary Kyodo Television. It will star popular actor Yuji Oda in Gabriel Macht's role of mentor Harvey and actor and musician Yuto Nakajima in Patrick J. Adam's role of Mike.
Two months after that bruising Mick cancellation, Kaitlin Olson is returning to the Fox fold with a starring role opposite Leah Remini in an untitled Fox multi-cam comedy pilot from the team behind It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (which, of course, co-stars Olson).
In the potential series, Olson will play Birdie, the wife of Remini's conservative-leaning patriot, Jean. Together, they're raising Jean's two boys with the help of the kids' father and Jean's ex-husband, Richie, who currently lives in the garage.
Rob McElhenney and Rob Rosell penned the script and will serve as exec producers alongside fellow Sunny EPs Nick Frenkel, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton.
Olson will next be seen in Season 13 of It's Always Sunny, which is slated to premiere in September on FXX.
Fresh off of The Mick's cancellation, Kaitlin Olson has already found a new job at another Fox sitcom, but this time it will be a multi-cam where she and Leah Remini play a couple raising two boys:
