so like infamous ss then. Good to know. Gonna put it on perma sunset mode after i finish the game.

Spider-Man |OT| Peter ParkourI feel like I should post these too
I love how seamless and fluid the parkour is.
watch the game be 2 acts lol
Lol I love how the response still tries to deduce the overall game length.
I'm gonna guess about 16-18 hours main story, 20-25 with everything else. Would put it in line with all of the other Sony single player games (save Horizon, which as an RPG is a little different)
8-15 hours for main campaign is usually a safe bet for this type of game.
25 costumes seems disappointing but some of my favorite costume are already in there.
1. Iron Spider (Infinity War)
2. Scarlet Spider (classic hoodie)
3. Classic Spider-Man
4. Homecoming classic
I gotta be honest, the lack of side quests is really killing my hype for this game. The idea of Spider-Man going around the city doing little mini-stories for citizens, the Daily Bugle, things like that - the small time narrative stuff - is the most exciting prospect of a Spider-Man game to me. Collecting backpacks, diffusing bombs and taking down criminal territories just doesn't get close to cutting it. That's just busy work.
What makes it particularly disappointing to me is that Insomniac already showed they can do great, fun side quests like this in Sunset Overdrive. It's why I expected to see them here. It even makes MORE sense here.
Being able to turn off chromatic aberration is great, it just looks plain awful from all the gameplay clips I've seen.
Hey now, this ain't no Metal Gear Solid V. I'm expecting God of War length.
lmao. this game is gonna sell bonkers.
watch out God Of Legs, spider boi!! coming through
PS4Pro. Made sure not to play on some set-ups that were (obviously) with the ugly 120hz thingy on.You played on ps4 or ps4pro? Smoth? And how you feel about web swing mechanics?
I really hope we get it. This game's city deserves to be enjoyed without any distractions.
Thx for answer me. I like the tech part of the game, so I must say I curious, maybe the 'top motion blur' they used in Ratchet and Clank. My last spider man game was the gamecube version.PS4Pro. Made sure not to play on some set-ups that were (obviously) with the ugly 120hz thingy on.
Super smooth! Didn't notice any hiccups or frame drops or anything. And I can spot these things fairly easily. Amazing presentation and image quality.
Web swing mechanics are not as automatic as I thought it looked on videos. BUT! Still you hit R2, he fires somewhere which makes sense (left, right, up, sideways) and then you control the swing and you let go when you want. But I do think for fun and easiness of play this is the best controls they could come up with. Can't imagine another version.
Spidey will dethrone God of War... but then Last of Us 2 will dethrone them all.

Yeah, I hate that the game zooms in on the tiny notification and completely takes Spider-Man off the screen.Yeah, I'm definitely gonna want to turn these things off. I want to do tons of tricks, but this is just distracting.
The suits we've got so far are...
Classic (Damaged): No suit power
Classic (Repaired): Web Blossom
Noir: Sound of Silence (Disables enemies ability to call in back-up)
Spider Armor Mk.ll: Bullet deflection (includes sniper bullets)
OG Scarlet Spider: Holographic decoys with voice clips
Secret Wars: EMP that stuns and disables weapons
2099: Unconfirmed
Homecoming: Unconfirmed
Homemade (MCU): Unconfirmed
Spider-Punk: AOE guitar attack
Velocity: Unconfirmed
Iron Spider (MCU): Most likely Iron Spider waldoes
Advanced: Unconfirmed
I agree. They can be very distracting for me too. I remember some alpha gameplay of Days Gone people complain and now they removed the damage placar.Yeah, I'm definitely gonna want to turn these things off. I want to do tons of tricks, but this is just distracting.

Watching this load frame by frame on mobile and seeing his swing start before he moves his hand is bumming me out.
Yeah, I totally agree. I was just listening to Jones describing it too in the EZA preview. Sounds perfect for Spider-Man, it's one of his most prominent and important struggles like you said.I'm surprised at how excited I'm getting from hearing how busy the game seems to be. There are various activities scattered and side content throughout the world, all happening on top of your choice to progress in the story. It can get annoying to have that happen in open world games, but that is perfectly Spider-Man. That is the struggle he goes through every day and I love that they've captured it so well. It really sounds like Insomniac absolutely nailed the character. Gosh! It is just incredible that Spidey is finally going to get the game he deserves.
Sweet I can ditch the default costume and stay with the classic till I u lock the homecoming suit. For shame, I've been forgotten:
Here's my lengthy preview of Spider-Man's early hours: Peter and his supporting cast, combat, skill trees, costumes, and the city itself.
It's quite good.
And here's a news article on just the costumes. Yeah, folks; OG Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider is in there and unlockable early on. I ended up unlocking it and using it for the rest of my demo.
Not sure if known, but is the flipping in between swings random or can you press something to do that? Either way it looks GORGEOUS
It looks great, but they should just have it all on autopilot. Mashing a button is so unnecessary, I rather just watch then be "involved"
Wait what?
I was hoping they'd give us an option to disable HUD completely, like all of it. Reduced HUD is nice but I'd really like a no HUD option as well, just a clean image without the map, web swing indicators, health bar etc.
Facial animation looks fantastic in cutscenes, can someone make gifs?
They give you so little exp so yea an option to turn it off it definitely needed. Hard to fully relax and spend the day swinging about when there's a popup every second if you do too many tricks.Yeah, I'm definitely gonna want to turn these things off. I want to do tons of tricks, but this is just distracting.
Suffer through the first 2 years of the PS4 with fuck all.
I assume it's probably player input related considering you get xp for swinging.
That's fair, to be honest. It's a personal preference thing.
I thought they were..? Last I heard, about a month ago they were working on it. jstevenson can you update us?
Gimme links, and I will make it so. :)
And 2019 will likely be epic as well. TLOU2, Dreams, Death Stranding, maybe Ghosts too. Ending guns blazing for PS5.Suffer through the first 2 years of the PS4 with fuck all.
Insane that Sony is releasing 2 games this year that would both be record breaking in terms of sales for them.
Do we know if we can turn them off?Yeah, I'm definitely gonna want to turn these things off. I want to do tons of tricks, but this is just distracting.
