Well, he's a demon. His talk is rude, but actually the US version is less rude on an ongoing basis than the Japanese. After some establishing stuff, he doesn't say things like "bitch" all that much. About 5 times in the whole game. I got tired of it pretty quickly and toned it down. You're welcome.

It...it was worse? Yikes. Glad it was toned down at least!

Yeah, he just talked down to women in very condescending ways and used coarse language too much in the Japanese, IMO. I understood that he's supposed to be a rude impish demon, but it was too much, so I just let him do it a few times, then dialed it back for the sake of sanity. I will say that Craig's outtakes as Bulrell are pretty great.

Probably the developer shuffle. The world lore is the same, and there's a LOT there, so I didn't mind too much. The smaller parties of SN5 was the only thing that bothered me.

I am a fan of flight plan's work in general. I would kill for a Black / Matrix 00 or Dragon Shadow Spell localization. So sad they went under.

And there's the credits.
For a crossover game this had a really great story. Normally crossovers have thin justification for why all these characters are present but this one fit pretty nicely.
I really appreciated the ending and the blooper reel for the VA was fun, too.
I wonder if I need to get an ending for every character with each protagonist for the trophy though...

Hey vireland any way to rewatch the blooper/gag reel without getting the character's ending again?

Without the dev system, I think the only way to replay the bloopers is to save right before the last blow in the final battle because the credits and outtakes are the same movie (which is why skipping the credits also skips the outtakes).

I actually liked the story in Summon Night 6 quite a bit, even though I only had limited awareness of some of the characters from 1-4 before I played 6. As I've said a number of times, Melgitos has an awesome ending in SN6. It's my favorite in a similar way to the karma ending from SN5, though they're almost diametrically opposed.

Hmmm. Alright. I might have to play future endings in my PS4 copy then so I can export the video file.

Yeah, beat me to it, was just about to chime in after his post with how it looks great on my OLED (and Pro).

Loving the game so far, though I'm still early, also gotta say the outer collector's box is indeed really nice looking, and nicely made, and the artbook is great. Haven't listened to the CDs yet since I'm playing lol, but I love soundtracks in CE/LEs.

That big, color physical manual also made me smile with nostalgia.
Also, don't think a game case has felt that "heavy" in ages lol.

The first run might be the last run with the manual in it for SN6 PSVita. It is much thicker than the allowed spec for Sony's factory, but once we sent them an engineering sample with 60# paper instead of 70#, we were able to get a special waiver to allow it. Unfortunately once production started, the machines really had a problem and it slowed everything way down and ruined a good amount of manuals, so I'm not sure any future runs of SN6 will have the nice, thick physical manual. They'll likely be digital only on re-runs. If that's important to collectors, now is the time to get one. Amazon's down to about 1/3 of their stock left. Not sure about GameStop, but I'm sure it's getting down there.

oh sorry my bad I already bought the game first day I should have been more specific, that's why I commented about the booklet.

edit: my only concern with the game is the voice work it sounds weird on vita, but you guys did an awesome job enjoying it every minute.

I understood. I realized that when I said "you" it sounded like I was talking to YOU, but I meant "you" as all collectors/fans. I edited it for clarity. :)

It looks awesome on my Pro.
Are there any planned patches coming up?

All the Japanese DLC was packed into the English release and is unlocked from when you boot the game, so no patches or unlocks needed for more content. We didn't have source code for this game here, and used the same Japanese developer as the original release. The team members have disbanded and gone to other projects, and so there's not really a facility to patch or add anything now.

We know of a few minor bugs that exist in the final release (couple untranslated skill graphics in a corner of the game most won't see, the "touch pad" being referred to as the "touchpad" a couple places in the tutorial, a few punctuation problems, etc), but given the Japanese team situation and risk of creating actual serious crash or system bugs inadvertently by fixing those, I doubt there will be a patch to fix them.

Do you have a project in the wings after CoH3, or is it all hands on deck for that?

So poor Banossa is gonna have his third class be known as "Balder" for all time.

Of course Banossa had it coming. He clearly needs to have his attitude notched down.

On that one I'm pretty sure the Chinese and Japanese got munged (they're right next to each other in the file) and it wasn't caught.

I hope this is selling well. I really appreciate the quality of the game and I really hope good word of mouth gets around.

I started this on vita yesterday and played it for about half hour. Seems like a fun game so far and the story and characters and dialog aren't your usual anime Saturday morning cartoon caliber. I've never played the other Summon games o I hope it's something I'm going to continue enjoying.

How are the trophies to this game? Any missable? How long to plat?

I may get the ps4 version and use that when I'm at home and cross save between the two. I have a Pro so it'll be nice to play on a big 4k tv.

I was playing rabi ribi on vita and decided to go with this as the characters and dialogue in rabi was unbearable even though the gameplay was decent.

Nothing missable, though the Plat will take 150-200 hours, probably. The grind to see all character endings which requires beating the entire game to see maybe 2-3 of them if you play perfectly is super long.

Well how can it not have missable trophies if you have to do multiple playthrough to get everything? Played a bit more and the game is very wordy and not enough gameplay. Might play it another time as I'm not in the mood to read so much in video games most of the time. might go to Disgaea 4 on Vita instead.

Lots of things have been happening to me lately and forgot about this game, so I rectified it and just bought it. Before I start playing I just wanna know, is there any missable characters like in Summon Night 5? I was never able to get the singing girl from 5 and I don't want a repeat of that :(.

There are a few characters attached to doing side missions but unless you actively avoid then you won't miss anybody.

Im going back and forth on picking this up. How customizable are the characters? I read that every character has multiple classes they can use? Combat looks fast and fluent, how long do battles last?

Very customizable. You have stat points to distribute with every level and characters can have a total of five different classes, each with different weapon types that play differently.
Combat is fast on the player turns but slow on enemy moves. Story battles can go 10-20 minutes but in the post game stuff you can easily level everybody high enough to one shot everything if you want.

I seem to have missed an event to make someone playable in Amu's last chapter. Anyone know which character it was?

Hasaha is in Raj's chapter

Sonolar
Kunon
Bulrell
Are in Amu's

Enysha, Erst, Scarrell in Ist's iirc
And Melgitos later.
This game is too high quality to have thread this silent.
It came out three months ago and is incredibly niche. I'm surprised it still gets any posts at all. :p

Whaaaaat? How did I manage to miss all three characters during Ist's chapters? I'm fairly certain I did all the events...

They're probably after then. I don't recall the order there too well as that's when I'd broken my characters and was zipping through story battles.
First four are definitely right though.
