There may not be an option to rewind time. That wasn't in BTS iirc. You will probably make a choice and it will happen and affect your character's story.
I'm curious as to where they can go from the first game. I thought that everything wrapped up nicely with the first
It wasn't him that had the powers, it was one of the who showed up at the end.
Also he'll be secondary in the game so it was a way to give him a fleshed out backstory without having to put it in LiS2, I guess.
Edit: Also, late October 2016. I wonder if they'll actually lean in to the US's political environment at that moment.

LiS didn't really click with me but I might give LiS2 a chance.
Should be fun. Considering that the ending for the first game was down-right bonkers, I wonder what shenanigans we can get up to with telepathy.
Life is Strange still had a decent amount of environmental puzzle solving using time manipulation. This will have that, except with telekinesis. BtS didn't have time manipulation for the conversations, so those will naturally flow, while telekinesis will presumably not integrate naturally for all the dialogue like rewind did.
I was hoping that powers would be more of a personal element in this game like the first. It's why my thoughts went to stuff like mind reading, telepathy or stuff like that. Powers that aren't really, easily "discoverable." I hope they pull it off properly. I don't want this to become a series centered around the powers.
New story, new town, new characters. Same universe/continuity, but more or less starting fresh.

The end of Captain Spirit spoilers (and why it's not him):
Chris runs to his treehouse, but as he climbs the ladder up, a rung breaks and he tumbles towards the ground. Thankfully, right before he hits the ground, he begins to levitate. Chris manages to land safely, and when he stands up, he notices his neighbor's kids standing in their backyard.
I can tell you right now it's not this. We know the jist of what LiS2 is going to be about from data people mined out of the demo.
Lol that Captain Spirit demo fucked up the entire perception of this teaser.

The inference at the end of the demo is that Chris's neighbor caused him to levitate, not that he levitated himself.
