"Of course"? You'd be surprise the kind of cinematic stuff people pull off in games that don't look half as inherently cinematic as this game. So it's no stretch by any means.Of course not. Come on. Unless there's QTEs with the prompts removed.
I'm can't wait to get my hands on this game. So damn hyped
Exactly! 25 is definitely a lot, but Spidey's got such a long list of alternate costumes that it becomes hard to just pick 25 you want. There are also original suits in the game, so that makes the list even shorter... Hopefully, there's actually still more than 25.
If I recall correctly, the description for The City That Never Sleeps does mention new suits!
Laughing my ass off at people passing on the game just because there are "Ubisoft towers." Ah, gamers.
I think by characters they simply meant new characters in the story... At least that's what I say to not hype myself up too much.
Did you even read or watch any of these previews?
Thanks. I do also hope there is some variation to side quests, and wondering on the random crimes. Not expecting an insane amount of variation, but we shall see!The traversal, combat, storyline and city in general are the big positive highlights.
The worst parts reflected in multiple previews is that, given that the game kinda locks you out of side quests at the beginning, it's unknown if they will be varied enough.
Brandon Jones' comments about the costumes from the Easy Allies video literally made me say "woo!" out loud. I cannot wait for this game.
It's not Batman style at all. Not sure where you got that from. Most people who played it call it DMC-lite.Gameplay Batman's style ? Check.
Open World Ubisoft's style ? Check.
Ok what's new ?
I'm gonna wait.
I meant it "will" be a goty contender not it "may" be a goty contender
Where's my symbiote suit!?!
Anyway this game looks fucking gorgeous
Nah, you gotta unlock suits with tokens which are gained by completing bonus objectives. So if i understand right, some suits already come unlocked?
Or is everything locked? I prefer to begin with just one and progressing lol
Nah, you're both wrong. You need to remove the "contender" from your post :PI meant it "will" be a goty contender not it "may" be a goty contender
It better be in the game. They already confirmed it's not in the game.
Pretty sure at least.

And yet, it's the pieces where those [Story and open world] elements rub up against each other that Spider-Man can't help but encounter some friction. Swinging across Manhattan to save some pinned-down police officers felt properly heroic, but shifting to a cutscene that loaded me from the open-world into the "real" mission area was a lot more restrictive. It's almost like there are two games that happen to share a lot of elements: a strong, story-focused Spider-Man adventure and a separate, open-world web-slinging simulator.
The warring ideas of choice versus cinematics even impacts the game's combat. Insomniac is giving players a lot of options when it comes to how they'd like to play Spider-Man, along with an RPG-style skill tree that will allow them to unlock and focus on different abilities. But for truly important moments, the game kicks players over to a controversial quick-time event mechanic that feels more at home in 2008 than it does in 2018. It forces players into "playable" cutscenes that require pressing on-screen button prompts in the proper sequence and timing instead of actually playing the game.
Symbiote saga hasn't happened to this Peter, it ain't in.It better be in the game.
It's the only actually good alternate suit.
Firstly, Freeflow Combat has always been a better fit for Spider-Man than Batman. Just saying. Second, are you really gonna judge it just because it looks like it? Previews are saying otherwise. That it actually plays and feels differently is what should matter. It's not even a bad thing to be a clone of it if it is a clone. Unless of course, you actually don't like Batman's combat, then oh well.Yeah it's acrobatic and aerial so why does it looks like a clone of Bat?
It better be in the game.

You get a surprising number of costumes early on, far more than he ever anticipated, and you get them through materials you collect throughout the city. When you obtain a new spider suit, it comes with a power/mod that adds to Spider-Man's abilities, but the kicker is that you can attach that suit's power to any other suit in the game. For example, if you have the Spider-Punk suit, you can attach it's power to the main suit that we've been using since the game's reveal. So you can rock your favorite suit with your favorite power.

I wish the ground combat had more going on in these videos. Something about it looks like it's missing something. Do the launcher, web zip punch, slide under armored enemies or baton bros, L1+R1 random shit lying around, takedown special. I think I'm wanting more interaction when multiple enemies are there. Like perfect dodging doing something unique in melee or something where you vault off a guy and transition into something flashy used on the guy next to him etc. Feels very "Okay guys, one at a time."
That's neat. Hope there's more depth with the unlockable moves. I did catch a glimpse of some sort of "Attack off the wall" type thing in one of the videos that said it was good for multiple enemies. So maybe there's way more under the hood going on than we've seen.I unlocked a move where the timed dodge would web up an enemy.
Sorry dude, dunno what to tell you. That's obviously a cinematic lol."Of course"? You'd be surprise the kind of cinematic stuff people pull off in games that don't look half as inherently cinematic as this game. So it's no stretch by any means.
You cant have a scene as awesome as that without qte, thats the problem.
Sure, it's a QTE, but damn it's impressive looking. How else can you do this without a QTE but need player input? I'm damn impressed. :P
Perfect dodge doing things is confirmed to be an upgrade.I wish the ground combat had more going on in these videos. Something about it looks like it's missing something. Oh shit, seriously? Nice!
Any word if the world is gated or not? How soon can I be let loose in the city? When when I'm let loose, can I go anywhere in Manhattan?
nice. Thanks, man.once you finish the opening mission and bring Fisk to justice, you can travel all around Manhattan
