ha ha, but seriously, when the first sign of charges is some inexplicable $2000 drop, I'm glad I put out a reminder. Pretty much have to remind myself to just walk away and not look at it until the 2nd.

So, 15 minutes of the Nintendo podcast to talk about a game not coming to switch is weird... But that's Damiani's podcast, so ok I guess.
15 minutes to talk about something Huber has already talked about and will talk about for several hours. Like geez
I share this sentiment. Honestly felt like a "I don't want to put any effort in it" episode, even if I'm sure that wasn't the intention. Talking about Re:make 2 on what is specifically pitched to your audience as a Nintendo podcast makes no sense any way you slice it; it muddies the waters and will make some people question why they even watch the show in first place. Having episodes about something else instead of news, when there are no actual news, would be better IMHO. They can have speculations about the future, deep dives into a particular Nintendo series, or as I said many times before, episodes tackling particular themes, historical figures or events regarding Nintendo. Imagine Gamexplain doing a 15 minute video about Re:make 2, right after E3, you'd think they went crazy.I didn't really get the justification for no patron questions on Friend Code. Also the RE2 Remake stuff. Jolly vibes though, jolly vibes.
Having said that, I really enjoyed watching Damiani play Hollow Knight on VOD. That man is a machine. No way could I play that game for 10 hours straight and have twitch reflexes ready to go for that final section.
I know you didnt used to talk about the exact amount that arrived on the 5th/6th, however last month you did. Will this month's amount also be revealed or not?ha ha, but seriously, when the first sign of charges is some inexplicable $2000 drop, I'm glad I put out a reminder. Pretty much have to remind myself to just walk away and not look at it until the 2nd.
FF 14It'd be nice if their Top 10 lists came with captions stating the name of the game and the character. I have absolutely no idea who number 10 is or where he's from. Don't think Jones even mentioned the title of the game.
Yeah, I agree that the gametitle would be a good idea. It'd be nice if their Top 10 lists came with captions stating the name of the game and the character. I have absolutely no idea who number 10 is or where he's from. Don't think Jones even mentioned the title of the game.

Yeah for the studio goal in particular, we need to keep people in the loop. I don't know if Jones will share the exact amount, but we'll at least state whether it's over/under $50k.I know you didnt used to talk about the exact amount that arrived on the 5th/6th, however last month you did. Yeah. It was kinda bizarre.I share this sentiment. Honestly felt like a "I don't want to put any effort in it" episode, even if I'm sure that wasn't the intention. Sometimes I think it would be nice to see podcast hosts shuffle every now and then to keep things fresh. Like when I think Nintendo, I think Bosman, so I wonder what his version of Friend Code would be like. Or what Damiani might do on Reaction Shots. Or Brandon on Frame Trap.
I know it's not a realistic possibility with the varying pay and responsibilities each of the allies hold, but hey....still think it would be really neat. Maybe even as a one-of crossover special.
Yup, plus what would Cup of Jones be without Jones? Cup? But crossing the streams could be fun once in a while. I really enjoy the special event stuff, for instance, Noodles and Broth on Frame Trap. I hadn't laughed so hard in a long time.A cross over ala final bosman/huber hype has a lot of potential for lols. I do think that the hosts do define what the shows are and while kyle might make hosting the podcast look easy I dont think anyone could do it with the finesse he has, same with ben and his insightfulness for frametrap and damiani with his knowledge of nintendo. I can't speak to reaction shots since I dont watch.

It's in the "Also in the works" section of the site: https://easyallies.com/Apologies if I just missed it, but has there been an EZA Clips Show this week? I need to see those specks again...

Each Clips episode has covered a week (starting from a Monday), and it's usually posted the following Monday (though sometimes it's late). Last week was the charity stream, which probably generated a ton of clips compared to a normal week, so I'm guessing it's taking a lot longer to sort through and edit.Oh right, thanks, never sure what day it is scheduled to hit on.
Awesome top 10.
But it needs to have a banner appear at the bottom showing the game and (in this case) character name.
I was always a big GT fan, but I played Forza from Forza 2 and imo Forza had the same quality in a racegame than GT from Forza 3 on and IMO they surpassed GT from Forza 4.Blood accurately standing up for GT Sport v Forza 7 made up for it.
Anyone's Patreon RSS podcast link broken today? I can't seem to update/download anything.
HHNNNNGHHH
I'm only a couple of minutes in and it already sounds spectacular.
Is Kyle still doing his Rayon Riddles platinum rush stream tonight at midnight? I thought I remembered him talking about it but I don't see it on their schedule. Not that I'll be up at that hour but I can't wait to watch it.
Lol, as someone who dislikes the Arkham games that's what's helping me keep my spiderman hype in check.Well is Jones talking about an open world game of a super popular super hero, it's like Damiani talking about a new Zelda game.
We were just made aware that pay up front is an option for us the other day. After looking it over, it's not likely that we'll be switching over anytime soon. The main sticking point is that it doesn't renew on a monthly anniversary date like Twitch, Adobe, or most monthly charges. Instead, if you pledge $50 on the 31st, you'll get charged the next $50 on the 1st. For us, that just sounds like a bad deal that could rub new patrons the wrong way, make them feel like they were ripped off, or make them decide to wait until the next month only to forget about it later. There is a pretty interesting thread over in Etcetera regarding Patreon and how easy it is to game the system. It looks like Up Front payment is an option for creators (unclear exactly when this was introduced). Is there any reason why EZA chooses the traditional structure over the Pay Up Front option? It looks like once you switch it is a permanent change for the creator, so if they did make the move there's no going back.

EDIT: I guess I should say, "Do they currently use this option?" - it's been a little while since I've changed my pledge, and I remember people bringing this up in the past.
Unless he's doing two streams, he's already done this (late last night).
There's gotta be a way or tool to see repetitive accounts resubbing/unsubbing at the last minute no? Even if not huge numbers, it still sucks that people might wanna do this. We haven't seen a huge number of people trying to game the system, and for the big tiers like sponsorship, we wait until payment goes through anyways. So unless that becomes a huge problem, we'll carry that risk rather than alienating people with the charge up front system, particularly since we can't change back if people hate it.
