Sony Interactive Entertainment Shanghai announced that it is hosting the 2018 PlayStation China conference in Shanghai, corresponding to ChinaJoy 2018 on 2nd of August 2018 at 14:00 (Chinese Standard Time) with the theme of [游索不同]. =P

It is likely that there will be news updates for games coming to the Chinese market - ranging from updates on China Hero Project to games like Marvel's Spider-Man, Monster Hunter World, NBA2K19 and more.

There will be a livestream on douyu.

It's a legit PlayStation press conference, but primarily aimed for the Chinese market with games made by Chinese devs.

This presentation is for the china market so don't expect any announcements that people in the West will care about. China Hero Project games will be shown though.

People should not expect much. It will be more like a TGS conference than E3, PGW, PSX. Localization announcements for Western and Japanese games we already know about, updates on China Hero Project games and maybe a new announcement from China Hero Project.

I wonder if Faith of Danschant will come to PS4. I played the PC version in Chinese, but I don't think we'll see it localized. It even has a free DLC that was released recently.

That said right now these guys are a small team so I don't expect localization efforts any time soon.

One of the pillars of China Hero Project is to help these teams break into the western market too, so I imagine all of them will be released worldwide.

It breaks my heart how lil ppl know about china hero project :( hope the games are doing well so far. Lost souls aside and project boundary are my highlights

At PSX I played all the games from China Hero Project and they all had English localizations in the demos. And they allowed people who completed the challenges in all four of the playable games to write the developers from CHP a message on this banner type thing. And I didn't see any Chinese writing on it. I think they are betting on significant sales from western countries for these projects. I'd be shocked if any of them have late localizations or just get straight up cancelled as western releases.
