PC ver. ran fine for me as I don't recall having any performance issues.
On 3ds, there would be massive slowdown if you used fire/explosion attacks on big groups of enemieshuh?
I don't remember any kind of bad performance when I played it.
in fact I found it to be one of the better beat'em ups. I loved the goofy voice acting

The tree looks 2d in the 3ds version but 3d in the Switch version, it's probably the same for other elements, but yeah the new graphics look too clean and simple. Not to gripe about little stuff, but is this a port of a cellphone version? The revised graphics look...well, in the example they chose to highlight improvements, it's not all that flattering.

I found it to be quite the chore at a certain point on the 3DS. So much that I didn't want to bother.
No, it got bad reviews because it was a mediocre game with bad performance.
I suppose if performance was better it would just get mediocre reviews instead of bad ones.
BRING IT
That sounds plausible.Yeah? I was playin on the beefed up 3DS.maybe thats the reason
Yeah, apart from the main characters and bosses, every single character model becomes playable after finishing the game.Wait the game has 50+ playable characters? Maybe i will buy it on PC.

It was actually worse on PC, so keep your expectations in checkA decent framerate, finally! I couldn't bare to play this on the 3DS but I can't wait to pick it up for the Switch.
Was the queen also unlockable? I seem to remember being disappointed she wasn't playable, since it was the one I was most interested in.Yeah, apart from the main characters and bosses, every single character model becomes playable after finishing the game.
https://www.destructoid.com/review-code-of-princess-ex-514744.phtmlI can't find much chatter about this and it releases this week. Anyone managed to get their hands on a copy? The price tag puts me off since I own this on 3DS and PC and bounced off it because I didn't like how it felt to play it. Would love some hands on impressions if anyone was sent a copy, etc.
I think I only really had fun after unlocking one of the barmaidens who only had one attack- a kick that caused super knockback/crumple and was super satisfying to use.Yeah, apart from the main characters and bosses, every single character model becomes playable after finishing the game.
NL say it doesn't look great on the TVIf you're a fan of the original, you'll likely enjoy the minor tweaks and upgrades on offer, but don't dive in expecting a 'remaster'. You get couch co-op and a healthy framerate, although it doesn't look great on a TV and the original's excellent English voiceover is AWOL. Despite modest enhancements, the 3DS origins of this six-year-old game are plain to see, which may put off newcomers. It's a solid hack-and-slash experience, as it always was – we just wish it did more to earn that 'EX' addendum. 7/10
No online? Can someone confirm this? The original game has online so I'd be surprised if they took that out for some reason tbh.
I was confused too, but the eshop page for the game says it supports 2 - 4 online, I think it's just the 2 player local play is new so they're advertising that.
This. The local mulitplayer is indeed new from what I remember. Looking forward to getting my copy in the mail today. I really enjoyed this on the 3DS. It's very grindy when it comes to leveling up characters but I like that with this game. The character designs are really nice as well.I was confused too, but the eshop page for the game says it supports 2 - 4 online, I think it's just the 2 player local play is new so they're advertising that.
