Super excited to learn that teto will release their 1st full album on September 26. A meaty 15 songs release from one of my favorite recent bands, can't wait.
Their latest single was the shit.

Sayanee announces graduation to the surprise of no one

new label in London called Toothpaste Records dedicated to releasing japanese stuff on vinyl
first release is a Tentenko LP in Sept collecting songs from her two previous EPs, pink vinyl 1000 copies blah blah
wonder who else they are going to release LPs by, and if i'm going to buy them all (probably lol)

I want this on Apple Music/iTunes but it's not there. :(

Luckily I could grab their EP and some joint albums they did last year. I like them a lot. Seems promising.

A lot of this was enjoyable listening. The one I left in the quote was the standout to me.

Having given some more attention to the artists I already mentioned (still intending on diving deeper): MOON by Lucky Tapes is my favorite song so far. Took me to another place. Polkadot Stingray and Gesu no Kiwami Otome are also really cool. In particular I enjoyed Fleming and Dancer in the Dancer, respectively. Definitely need to look further into DADARAY.

Aaand I also stumbled onto Glim Spanky, which I've been digging. I like the raspy aspect of the singer's voice.

EDIT: Oh, and I also had a good time with what I was able to find of Lamp.

How can he sing through the mask at live shows?
It's like Man With A Mission apparently, the bottom half/quarter is missing. They rarely do live shows though, so far they only performed twice (last year's Summer Sonic and Countdown Japan). This year's Summer Sonic will be their 3rd show.

Katoshi center, yay

Yeah, pretty much every band from The Ninth Apollo (and its affiliated labels) is CD only. A shame, cause it kinda limits the audience of amazing bands like Kotori, Fomare, Haruka Mirai...

I skimmed through the OP a bit, and checked out Ototoy, but they didn't have Monari Wakita when I searched her name both in English and Japanese. I thought "Ahead" would be on the US iTunes like Wingscape/Take It Lucky was, but it's been a week and still isn't up. So which site would be the safest and best place to import CDs to the US?

Here's a version that works outside of Japan:

It's 95% a CHVRCHES song so if that's not your thing this won't change your mind. I totally want a donut puppy bazooka, though.

I think CHVRCHES is fine, but this song and video are fantastic. Wednesday Campanella was a good collab pick.

Oh, for sure, I think it's a great song (and better than the last CHVRCHES album). I just meant that I don't think Wednesday Campanella bring very much to the sound. It's essentially a CHRVCHES song where KOM_I sings some of the verses in a voice that's not that different in timbre from Lauren Mayberry's.

I still can't stop listening to NEWS' Neverland. Such a great album with a lot of uplifting songs.
