Sweet. Track looks like a lot of highspeed fun. Will try this evening.
Why would this lead to the game going F2P?Will be interesting to see how the car purchasing for real money will fare and if it will lead to F2P in a year or so.
Sony have a responsibility to retailers and the copies sold to them so it won't happen in 2018.

If this "upgrade" comes from some company like EA or Ubisoft this would be a complete meltdown. Microtransactions are evil and must be defeated.I find it funny microtransactions are now fully ok when it comes to buying content that could otherwise be bought with in game tokens/credits.
He said the same thing in this video:"it feels just like the real thing"
I know they pay you to say this Lewis but come on now...
Yeah, I'm sure you know better than him how the car actually feels ;P"it feels just like the real thing"

Damn that looks amazing, I'm itching to check it out but my system is downloading the 3+GB update during my gaming time (i.e. the hour between the baby's bedtime and mine) T_T

Well, if you crash a car like this in real life you're likely to die, whereas you'll be completely safe doing the same thing on a simulator. So, yes, of course the emotion is different, even if the handling and behaviour of the car is 1:1."There's a difference between driving a simulator and driving the real thing - you have no emotion," Hamilton added.

I posted this in the OT but I think it's important to note:

Daily races are back to weekly races. No middle ground.
That is bad for me but they probably have more data than us... I guess gamers that only play few days a week (weekends only for example) are losing a lot of events.I posted this in the OT but I think it's important to note:

MTX suck, but I knew some form of monetization was coming. At least they are not that bad and don't paywall anything. Still hate MTX tho
Update stuff is great but can we talk about how good GTS trailers are. So stylish and classy, Love it
If sales slow down enough then why not? Second revenue-cycle (through real money as an alternative option for aquiring cars).
Seems like the F1 car can't be customized in the livery editor.
I saw the cars costing $1, is that the highest they go? That doesn't seem like a model to support F2P.If sales slow down enough then why not? Second revenue-cycle (through real money as an alternative option for aquiring cars).
It's the Clash Royale model exactly, pay to save time (but not to win).
The top cars beyond 2 million credits are also excluded from this system.
Sales don't matter nearly as much as ARPUIf sales slow down enough then why not? Second revenue-cycle (through real money as an alternative option for aquiring cars).

- The Tyre Simulation Model has been adjusted: handling during acceleration, deceleration and cornering have changed;
I believe that the Mercedes F1 car has a very big bug right now.
There maybe a glitch with rev matching to the throttle. Causes the rear to be unstable. Not 100% clear yet but there'll be a patch if needed.
