Sweet. Track looks like a lot of highspeed fun. Will try this evening.

The tyre model change going offline onto debris/gravel/grass is a big deal for me. Not feeling any discernible change in handling or loss in time encouraged you to take liberties and veered into lenient arcade handling.

MTX suck, but I knew some form of monetization was coming. At least they are not that bad and don't paywall anything. Still hate MTX tho

Update stuff is great but can we talk about how good GTS trailers are. So stylish and classy, Love it

It's cool that they do these updates. Is this what they do every month? A few cars and a track? That's a considerable amount of content if you were to pick it up in a year.

Oh no. Please tell me they didn't change the handling feel too much. I love the way this game plays. :(

They was going to add the 2018 version of the car but Sony wouldn't allow anything with the word Halo!

New track looks like it has a lot of long straights connected by basic corners, extractly my least favourite type of track, and unusable/unbearable with slower cars.

Still, the f1 car looks fun, looking forward to trying it out.

Generally I hate microtransactions of any kind, but in this particular case I understand why they have done it. Also mtx aren't affect ingame economy (because it wasn't crafted around them), and you can even hide that button, which is nice touch. I'm ok with that.

"it feels just like the real thing"

I know they pay you to say this Lewis but come on now...

Oh sorry. I meant to say its just like the real thing, especially when it's easier to control using a controller than it is with a wheel. High downforce cars don't have progressive steering weight, not at all. He's not saying that just because he's being told to do so, he's saying that from the bottom of his heart because he truly believes it.

Better? :P

The 787B sounds as it should. Glorious.

The new track is cool as well. They should have put a GR1 endurance race on it.

The microtransactions are fine - there are no lootboxes, they aren't increasing the grind to incentivise them, they're not locking anything behind them. Microtransactions like these are good.

I posted this in the OT but I think it's important to note:

https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gtsport/news/00_3960825.html

Daily races are back to weekly races. No middle ground.

But this is just stupid, stupid, stupid. No one asked for this.

They want to do GaaS but their communication is completely broken. They're not telling us what feedback they're taking into account, what goal they're striving for, and why they're making whatever changes. They seriously need to fix this.

That is bad for me but they probably have more data than us... I guess gamers that only play few days a week (weekends only for example) are losing a lot of events.

But they could maintain the daily events and create a new weekly event... so people that only play one day per week can compete with everybody else.

I'm not very fond of microtransactions either, but in this case I have to admit it's one of the least intrusive implementations I've seen.
You can only buy cars < 2.000.000 credits with money and there is an option in the settings to turn off the "shop for real money" button in the UI.

GTS dragged me out of my gaming rut. The feeling of accomplishment for getting better and achieving gold stars on all the challenges are my Bnb. I have a wheel and a study anchor and all my family loves this game. Best part, I haven't even went online yet. I'm going to 100% campaign and GT league first and then take my scared butt online!

Soooo good....keep the updates coming. Production cars and tracks please. More fantasy beauty's...

If sales slow down enough then why not? Second revenue-cycle (through real money as an alternative option for aquiring cars).
It's the Clash Royale model exactly, pay to save time (but not to win).
The top cars beyond 2 million credits are also excluded from this system.
I saw the cars costing $1, is that the highest they go? That doesn't seem like a model to support F2P.

Enjoying the new track, I take back anything I said previously, it's nice and wide making for some good battles.

I didn't have time to play this morning but I booted it up and just looked at the new Honda S600 while I while I drank my coffee before work. I can't wait to play tonight and see if I can tell the differences with the tires.

New track is superb! Very wide and many different possibilities for how you take a corner and that translates to great racing. Dirty drivers hate this track!

Sales don't matter nearly as much as ARPU
