Whatever they are. Career wise, personally, etc.

I got nothing career wise, but I'm working on it still. Luckily I feel I am getting clarity about my career path and I feel I'm specializing right now and narrowing down where I want to be. Also, I'm suing my former employer.

I do believe I accomplished two dreams. One of my dreams was to go to college. I did get to go to college which was one of the best times of my life. No disappointments at all.

And also, I think my dream of being a drummer came true. Honestly, being a professional drummer probably is not for me. But I feel like I'm good enough that I can, with some time taken to learn it, play whatever I want. That's as good as it gets, IMO.

If my dreams came true, the world would turn into a really fucked up trip. I had a dream last night that my cat turned into a human and together we battled killer almonds while riding on our battle rabbits.

If we're talking personal goals rather than dreams, then yeah they can come true. Depends how hard you work towards them.

I didn't really conceive of most of the stuff I have been able to do. When I was younger I dreamed of living in another country and travelling a lot.

I've now lived in 4 countries (including my home country) but only one of them I had wanted to for a really long time. The other two, South Korea and France, I didn't think of but fucking loved.

As for career, my career didn't exist when growing up so I couldn't have dreamt of it but it is far better than anything I could otherwise be doing. I work for myself, create my own schedule, work from home and love doing what I'm doing. It also allowed me to buy a house in France at 24 so I'm not doing badly there either.

As for the other main dream, it was to own a lot of property. I'm 25 and I own 4 houses so it's pretty fucking good.

In short, my dreams weren't what I thought they were initially. The details are a little different but yes, they kind of all came true.

I also married the love of my life!

Nah, nowhere close unfortunately. A universal basic income isn't a thing, while the 2nd Amendment still is. Electoral College still exists, while universal healthcare (INCLUDING dental and vision, screw everything about those being separate things) doesn't. Reapportionment Act of 1929 still kicking and undermining the purpose of the House of the Representatives and making it more and more like the Senate each year, whereas guaranteed PAID maternity AND paternity leave (of, let's say, 6 months or so) ain't a thing mandated by federal law, etc. War on drugs still going strong, whereas no guaranteed daycare. Etc, etc. So still pretty far to go on my dreams being reality.

In just terms of career and stuff though, meh. That just is what it is and I have no particular dreams there, so there's really not much to say.

Career wise I'm on my way. My dream was to get into software (which I did) now I'm looking for a much better job and that'll satisfy me in that regard.

Sorry. Couldn't help myself when they worded it like that. It's not all stars and rainbows, though. I'm currently on hiatus from my career because the baby is still <1 year (and I have a 2yr old), and holy hell does it require a lot of coffee and booze to make it through the days sometimes.
I was just messing. You deserve to feel accomplished, imo that's an impressive list.

Nah not yet, some have but many haven't. That being said, I'm young and life is full of opportunities and potential. Looking forward to achieving some!

I had a dream last night that I walked through a spider web. When I woke up I had a spider bite on my finger and elbow.

But seriously, I am where I had hoped to be career-wise. I'm not where I wanted to be in terms of friendship and family, though. I'm an introverted extrovert. I love doing activities and spending time with friends, but only in short bursts. That has prevented me from starting a family like I would have wanted.

Visualizing a moment or life goal / achievement in your mind, then doing the work and have it come true has jappened to me multiple times in the past three years and the feeling of accomplishment inside is indescribable. I continue to work to make my dreams a reality while pursuing happiness and positive vibes. Life is a ride, baby!

Hmm, I haven't really accomplished them, but to be honest that is on me. I wish to become fluent in Japanese and Chinese, but I really need to start putting more effort into those.

I was thinking about the difference of goals and dreams the other day. I guess a dream for me is something that I cannot quite yet reach with simple logical steps, for example weight loss (since I know how to do it) or becoming smarter (I know how to do that too). So I guess a dream for me could be fatherhood (I have no idea when I am mentally ready if ever) or truly finding out what I want to do for the rest of my life (I guess that's something I kinda know how to approach...).

Smaller dreams or goals I did reach were:

Career in arts/video games.
Getting fit.
Managing depression.
Learning new things and making new friends.

So I guess there's lots to be happy and grateful for!

Yes. Are they the same dreams I had when I was a kid and growing up? Of course not, as I've gotten older my dreams and expectations have fallen in line with each other. I'm in a good place atm and the future looks brighter.

Haven't won the lotto but I have a great job, an amazing wife and child, spare money to afford my hobbies and and few good friends.

So yeah it's been a good ride so far.

if your dreams can come true they're not very good dreams.
That is right and wrong. I would rather make dreams come true and then strive towards an unreachable ideal, gives you the best of both worlds. You achieve your dreams, get the satisfaction but still have something to strive towards.

Personally nothing has come true so far. So some dreams I have are really difficult and hard to achieve in today's society. =(

Career/education? Yes
Health is ok, but I am finding it really hard to lose abdominal weight which I have had since 2006.

Love/partner? Non existent/sad. At the same time I am very introverted and prefer my alone time.

Nope. I dreamed of working behind the scenes in entertainment, meeting a nice girl, and having my own home. Like OP, one of my biggest dreams was going to college so at least there's that. I'm about to turn 39, stuck in a job I don't wanna do anymore, still live with my parents. Eh. Could be worse.

[ ] Go far in a career I love
[ ] Live in financial comfort
[x] Find the love of my life

One down, two to go. I'm only 24, so plenty of time left.

I don't have dreams, I have goals. *cackling*

As cliche as it sounds, it's true.

In 2015, I decided to make the biggest dream of my life into a goal, and I started to work on it instead of just believing and hoping for the best, lol. Then in 2017, I finally achieved what I wanted. It felt so good.

Now I have another dream/goal and I'm already taking all the steps necessary to make it come true. You draw a path and you follow it. Making dreams come true is not that hard, once you get a hang of it.

But I stan Beyoncé and her fans are naturally born to accomplish everything they want in life. Not everyone has that.

Not really, but I was never a big dreamer in the first place.

I'm very happy with what my life is, even though the vast majority of it is far outside anything I ever pictured for myself until I had it.

Cheers! I'm pretty happy with the way things are going so far, but it's kinda scary in a way too. Like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's almost...too good? Suspicious... :)

But, I'm sorry to hear it's not quite heading the same way for you yet. You working towards anything particular?

I see what you mean, but for stuff like the weight thing, sometimes you spend years yearning to be something else, try lots of things and still can't seem to reach where you want to be then suddenly one day you look down and pow, there it is, it seems like more of a dream than a goal met. Managing depression, though. That's a major goal, and better than most dreams. 'Grats, yo.

Had a dream that I checked the time on my watch and the face was cracked.

The next day after a long day, I go to check the time and it had somehow cracked.

Dreams can come true. :|

No, need more technological and societal advances to happen before they can. Maybe magic. Magic could help.

As for my small dreams, that's also a no. Need to rebalance my life, and that is very difficult.

I know the feel, my friend once said to me that I was the most boring guy when he met me (at work) and now I was positive and encouraging and doing all sorts of crazy things. I guess it was a gradual change and I almost missed it myself!
