I mostly agree. I think there'll be a really strong Big Druid deck after the expansion, and I'd run it in my Standard Togeaggle deck instead of a Branching Path probably. I think it'll make Tog in Wild really annoying. And generally the card as printed just seems too generous even if it's not that good right now. If it cost 6 mana it'd probably still be run in tons of decks.

EDIT: kinda how Flobbidonous Floop conflicts with Oaken Summons and Oakheart, I don't think the card is straight up super obvious how it'll fit into some decks, but it'll find a way. It's effect is good enough that I expect some current top decks to reform to include these cards.

I like that shaman card a lot. Cards like Zap don't see any play right now despite being pretty strong because shaman doesn't have good reload potential. If you can get more value out of them maybe they are more playable.

They are really focusing on elementals for shaman this time, huh?

In any case the cards shows have been pretty good imo, this one... may be not so much

I wonder if Storm Chaser implies that they're actually going to print more higher cost spells for Shaman. It seems really, really good for being able to pull out the spellstone though.

You don't need to combo with that card, it's a mana efficient draw minion that gets you finishers or utility.

Being capable of drawing your spellstone in turn 4 sounds like a good deal for me

Yeah with Storm Chaser it looks like Shaman is back on the menu, y'all. GET READY FOR TOTEMS.

Storm chaser is decent due to it's stats on a draw card for 4. Plus it'll often be drawing your strongest cards in your deck for mid + late game. You're not gonna spend 4 mana to draw a worthless spell late game like a lightning bolt. Plus it's an elemental and I think we may have a legit elemental shaman deck.

Depends if the decks can utilize the tokens somehow. Knife juggler type of effects etc

there isn't much in the wild catalogue that makes mech decks really care about board presence...blastmage, mostly just regular old token effects like savage roar and knifey. minirions head might be the card that could benefit most from that gameplan, but compared to eggnapper its not as good and eggnapper barely had play

some magnetic synergy is what i'm looking forward to, lynessa 'recast all magnetics played this game on this 1/1' mech leggy, hopefully it's a neutral

cybertech chip sort of could use this but, probably just better off casting that on a release the hounds turn at some point over this strategy as of now

wait a minute, how does a magnetic deathrattle minion work with nzoth? buildabeasts come back to life, but, historically buffs don't get revived. by any chance, can megnetic deathrattle minions be resummoned in full form? that'd be intriguing, since you could combo with kangor's endless army to make control paladin build

Are the micro bots just 1/1 tokens? If so, the card is probably useless, as nearly every deck can deal with 1/1 tokens now.

all i want to play is miracle rogue with academic espionages, auctioneer, tess, and a ton of draw. ethereal peddler can get some crazy value out of those 1 cost cards. i don't think i'm gonna preorder cos i spent the money last time and didn't spend my gold because of that, so i'm at 9k gold atm which seems like as many packs worth as most times when i do preorder. i hope they continue with the gold and dust events at this pace.

sir finley could be real nice with academic espionage since you can nab lifetap or you can use lab recruiter to throw more finleys in your deck if you don't get it

because it can be protected by taunts allowing it to live for more whirlwind effects instead of taking a clean 4 or 5 at once.
Ehhh...I mean I guess that would be nice if you can get it all set up, but I feel like in most cases it would've just been more of a benefit for it to have taunt. Especially against something like odd paladin. Having to get rid of it with one or two hits and then having two more taunts to kill.

I'd rather it had taunt itself. Then it's often a guaranteed 8 health of taunt that's very awkward to go through. Zoolock, odd rogue, and odd paladin on average are over in 8 turns in standard, so is a turn 7 whirlwind and 2/3 taunt going to be enough to prevent next turn lethal?

I don't really see the role it is good for outside of arena.

Maybe if you just really want there to be any mech on board at the start of your turn to do some crazy magnetize stuff with, this will be an option.

When I feel lost on a deck, i look to streams and videos of a good player playing it successfully. Pretend you're the one playing the game, and if they do something different make note of it. Here's Gaara playing it at high legend:

Malygos Druid is a deck that has a lot of possible win conditions, and you need to identify the best one to work toward to win the game. There was a good writeup on reddit about that here:

I do the exact same thing and it works well enough for me, it's just a matter to seeing how the mindset of a good player is and trying to imitate it. After that it's just a matter of adjusting the gameplay to the personal taste.

Thanks for the info. I lost today as I was holding all my spells for a big slam the turn after I dropped Maly (I never got Twig, so I was tied to this strat). My opponent hexed it, and he beat me through fatigue. I guess sometimes it's better to get the damage in when you can rather than waiting for the killing turn.

Anyone build any decks so far?

BTW hearthstonetopdecks is the best deck builder I've used so far. http://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com

Here is one of mine:

tempo_rogue_ft._necrium_blade.jpg

One of the sick things you can do with this deck is kobold illusionist hitting something big with your necrium blade up. So like cobalt scalebane gets summoned as a 1/1 from illusionist deathrattle. Then you cube scalebane and trigger the deathrattle with the necrium blade deathrattle. You get 2x 5/5 scalebanes plus a cube that still summons 2 scalebanes. And at the end of the turn you get +3 attack on 2 things. So 20 attack power on board on turn 5 with 16 hp.

Not 100% sold on argent commander or how effective sonya will end up being. AC is obv just a good pressure tool and likely target for cube. Sonya is meant to set up powerful umbra turns or just to combo for draw/value with keleseth or minstrel, and occasionally 1 mana cube would be pretty sick. Heck, occasionally you'll get to cube like a vilespine slayer with sonya and get the 1 mana slayer right away. It's got potential.

There is a lot you can do with this archetype I think, including replacing cold bloods for more threats or AC for more deathrattles. Lich king as well cause that scalebane combo with a lichking is really disgusting.

Those clever bastards. Such a smart way to bolster Shaman decks. Like in Giant Shaman, getting your Spellstone. Or drawing your Bloodlust in a bloodlust shaman. And now Eureka! with Malygos. The gravy on the poutine to all of this is that every single one of those works with Stormsurge, too. Which can also be tutored out thanks to Sandbinder (storm chaser as well).
