I never had any when I was young, but I wanted to see the world, so I applied to ESL programs that taught overseas in exchange for a plane ticket and a week of 'touring'. Went to China twice with $60 to my name. Was a bit shady, but totally worth it! Maybe something like that would an option for you?

I think that's 40 or so. I could Wales and Ireland as separate because really they're about as separate as Czech and Slovakia, which do count as two.

I don't keep a list but I travel quite a lot. And living in Europe makes it easy to get your number up anyway. What I know for sure is that I've been to all 28 EU member states and 5/7 continents so far (missing South America and Antarctica).

33. My father traveled a lot for his work and we benefited from this. I'm not going to list all the countries I've been but I'm going to list just my favorite three:

Switzerland: my father rented a mountain house and had us trek through some mountains. It was awesome, this country looks AND smells amazing.

Bahamas: Again my father had some kind of conference there. Been in many Caribbean islands but Bahamas felt more alive than the others. Caribbean food was amazing.

Peru: This was a part of great South American for me and my wife had but Peru was the favorite fit both of us. It's like New World Switzerland, full of absolutely breathtaking views.
