They haven't because most of their stuff hasn't been produced yet. Believe it or not, TV takes time to be produced. Everything coming out of Nu-Shondaland and Murphy's studio should be hitting Netflix late this year or early next year.
I'm excited to see what Barris puts out.
Shonda has a lot of stuff announced to be coming, so we'll see how that goes.
Murphy has two shows coming to Netflix through Fox that predate his current deal, which I'm not sure have even started production yet, so I'm pretty sure that his stuff is quite a bit further out than that. Rhimes announced her full slate in that NYT article, but they also sound like they're still pretty early in development for now.
A female centric supernatural show =/= Buffy do-over. And the dude has had plenty of different ideas from Buffy to a supervillain musical to a sci-fi wild west show and a more contemporary scifi dystopia thing. Even Angel has its own identity as more of a detective noir type of thing that very much separates it from Buffy, even if they understandably aren't completely different due to the connection they share.
Amazon has a new show out today and it seems pretty good, Eat. Race. Win. It follows the head chef of one of the Tour de France teams. I watch the first episode and enjoyed it, but I like pretty much any cooking show. Centering it on the Tour adds some nice stakes you don't usually get with cooking.

The show went majorly downhill the last few years and it's kinda just the same old same old. It's really entered that "going on too long" phase.
I don't know how anyone could feel that way given that each of the last few seasons has been a different evolution of the prison system with 4's overcrowding, 5's season long riot and now 6's entirely different location. I think the show is still quite good. But then again, people on "here" (GAF) have been hating on it since season two.
I don't think it's just people on here. Anecdotal, but lots of people I interact with IRL who used to watch the show say they "hate-watch" it now. And critics have certainly turned on it the last couple years too.
Sure, while the show has played with their formula to prevent staleness, it still hasn't actually prevented staleness because the plots are all very samey. And frankly setting Season 5 over a very short period of time/effectively one story was a bad decision that turned off several people I know from the show entirely.
If you still like the show, great! But it's unsurprising why less people seem to care and there's less general discussion about it. 6 seasons was honestly probably just too much for the concept -- but it's also typically too much for most shows. So I don't see that as a fault intrinsic to OITNB at all.
I'm going to start it tomorrow. I still like the show a lot, even though it's far from perfect.
I'm mainly speaking to your "same old" criticism. I guess yes, its still women in prison, but its far from what it was season one. Any other criticisms I may or may not agree with, but that's the one I was focused on addressing.
I stopped watching OITNB somewhere during season four, after thinking previous seasons were great-to-very good-to-good. I didn't dislike it, I just kind of stopped caring for whatever reason.
My fiance and I are watching OITNB it now, about 3-4 episodes in and it's fairly consistent with the last few season IMO, but for me that means it's solid still. Kinda doubt I'd still be watching it still if she wasnt into it still.
Still very slow paces with no real sign of going anywhere fast, but I've always felt like that's kind of the point of the show. Lots of new characters this season though, so that's something.
I agree. Season 4 was easily the most entertaining since the first (maybe even more so). Full blown sociopath Rachel is so much fun to watch (even when you have to do it through your fingers).
Critics apparently hated it though. I've honestly never understood the critical response to the show; why everyone pretends season one was legitimately good (it got a Peabody) while all the other seasons were written off as trash. The show has always been over the top lowbrow trash with a tinge of feminism. That's the appeal. Like...
Murphy's first project for Netflix is "The Politician", and I believe that should be in principal right now or at least close to it.

I think it is lack of urgency. If you miss it, you can just binge it whenever you want.
I never even started S4. I didn't start it when it released then I realized I didn't care and never went back.
S5 was such 100% hot garbage I stopped watching midway. I think a lot of people bailed out after S5.
I agree. In my opinion, Season 4 was easily the strongest season since Season 1. It did a good job of making prison feel like a scary place again. Which is something I hadn't felt since Season 1. Also, I'm looking at Metacritic right now, and Season 4 was the second highest rated season (among critics).
I wasn't a fan of Seasons 3 and 5 though.

I'm currently halfway through and wondering where its going...the overall series arc was that Rachel was the protagonist and sympathetic, and in 4 she's a straight up villain and its very hard to see anything but a super dark ending coming up. Very interesting choice. It is very entertaining though.

Based off ratings you are seeing or were there announcements? Trial & Error is a decently enjoyable show for me.
It's already dropping to .4 in its second outing. Marlon maintained a .6 rating throughout its second season.
I didn't see anything, but it wouldn't surprise me if it came up at some point. You can check the summaries later.

Don't know of any others. There's not much to announce with the JR one since season 1 hasn't debuted and it's already renewed for season 2.
That non-teaser isn't great. I'd have preferred some actual footage instead of star power associated with the project. The anthology nature of the show worries me, and this teaser doesn't do a whole lot to assuage them.

Eh, we'll see a trailer soon enough. Though note that Weiner is notoriously spoilerphobic so I doubt a trailer will show much.
AMC has already renewed Better Call Saul for a fifth season, a week before season 4 premieres.
