Yes, I'd probably have traumatic memories of such awful costume design as well.

I mean, I know it's probably not the easiest mask to translate to live-action, but come on.

I can't watch with audio right now, but is there any indication that the suit is not just for the battle at K'un-Lun?

I didn't hate season 1, pretty hype for season 2 after luke cage season 2 and the car fight we saw earlier.

Love how they tease the costume abit, was great when they did the same in Luke Cage season 1 too.

Scott Buck is out and hopefully they've properly prepared with production this time round so Finn Jones can look far more comfortable with able fight choreography, so I've a sliver of more hope for this one. But then I remember The Defenders and how integral Mr Danny "I'll-just-carelessly-wave-my-glowing-fist-around-and-woops-I've-knocked-down-the-one-door-I-shouldn't-have" Rand was to the overall story and I groan.

Where's my boy, Ward? I'd watch a mini series where it's just him trying to keep business afloat seeing as after season 1 he's the only actual level-headed member of the family left.

Any hope I had of Iron Fist S2 would be at least bearable vanished when they almost totally ruined Luke Cage S2 with this guy.

I very much doubt we'll see him in the costume, but his appearance in Luke Cage has me more interested than it would have done otherwise.

Someone tell me stuff to get me invested again. I totally zoned out after iron fist. (Tried watching luke cage s2 but eh). Have not touched Jessica Jones s2.
I did watch the Punisher though it being more removed from the other stuff I think helped. But man Iron Fist was so awful for me that it kinda began to taint the whole thing.

Looks far more promising than S1. Will tune in for sure.

Also Colleen Wing still has my heart.

I liked his character in that 10 minutes he was in Luke Cage more than any of the other stuff. If they keep that direction with his character, this season may not be that bad. The first season and the Defenders was just terrible, though.

If you have a Netflix account, it won't cost you anything extra to check it out. I assume your time isn't that precious since you're on a gaming forum on the weekend. You could probably stand to spare an hour or two on this to see if you like it.

I mean to engage in the time argument wouldn't you say that browsing a forum in 5-10 minute chunks while doing other stuff on the side is quite different from sitting down and watching up to 13? hours of a show that kinda asks ideally for your full attention. Seems like a weird comparison to make.

Not that I ever made any argument about not having the time more like I just lack the sense of if the investment will be worth it. Like a big part of making it through the latter half of luke cage was the eventual defenders payoff but what a dud.

My problem though is I can't seem to get over the hangup of how awful iron fist was it is looming in the back of my head that I couldn't make it past luke s2 second episode.
I don't know it's fucking weird. What destroys the immersion for me isn't really that there are super powers but remembering how awful of a character danny was as well as remembering the fight scenes he was involved in being regarded as some high level display of kungfu. The fight against the drunk guy was just offensively bad.

That's why I suggested watching an hour or two. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.

Did you miss the part where I said I tried Luke Cage S2 I couldn't get past episode 2? So I never even suggested that it was all or nothing?
I feel like you're being pretty uncharitable here in the way you answer but ok.

Additionally it's not like marvel netflix didn't have a lot of slow starts that's kinda why I was hoping for some convincing. But I guess today is being rudely curt day.

OK, so you didn't get past episode 2. You knew after two hours the show wasn't for you. Do the same thing with Iron Fist. Nobody here can predict whether you're going to like it or not.

Good lord if you never had any intention of replying why waste your time and mine by being such a huge fucking dick.
In my very first post I opened with "Someone tell me stuff to get me invested again."
Lol somehow you seemed to find it appropriate to respond with "lul your time ain't that much worth given you post here so just watch it" and the like instead of actually engaging even ignoring stuff I stated in my posts.

Is it so outlandishly weird for me to ask for a good argument maybe even from a similarly short time lapsed viewer that made it back in considering especially how these shows are paced to tell me a few things about why the investment is worth it?

I have watched every marvel Netflix show save for iron fist and defenders.

Should I watch the latter?

Someone edit the trailer so that they show the trailer for the first season before he says it was just a bad memory

I'm sorry, I'll start over.

It's a martial arts superhero show featuring a popular Marvel character.

Iron Fist season 1 was trash. I rarely rate Netflix shows, but i gave it a thumbs down and wish i gave it two middle fingers. Shit show.

Here's the only good part of the season.

I don't know what other kinds of information would get you interested in this. That's why I suggested checking it out for a couple episodes and seeing for yourself.

mmmh *thinking* I guess reading is really hard my bad. Feel free to try another troll reply.

Era discouraged me from watching S1 so unless this is biggest comeback in history of tv shows, I will skip. Eagerly waiting for reviews.

I'm not trolling, you just don't like my responses for some reason. I really don't think that suggesting you check it out for an episode or two is an out-of-line suggestion. You might like it. You might not.
You are trolling you've been pretty rude and curt in all your answers and never have you made an attempt to even read what I am saying/asking for it's not a matter of liking or not liking your answers when they don't answer my question in the first place.

When I ask for someone to make an argument that might have a similar experience in being a lapsed viewer I'm obviously not looking for "bruh your time ain't that valuable", "just watch 1-2 episodes" (especially when I already stated I did just that with Luke Cage) and me stating being aware of how these shows are paced hence I know the first 2 episodes aren't always the best look for any of these. It's making me question what your goal is by doing this when you're blatantly ignoring all my answers and the natural conclusion is trolling.

I welcome more troll replies at this point I'm just curious where this going. It's like what motivated this whole chain of attitude and replies, it's very strange to me.

I said I was sorry about that in post #34 of this thread and you don't want to accept it. I don't know what else to say and I don't know what kind of information you're looking for that might get you interested in Iron Fist season 2.

Honestly, I think the way Finn Jones plays Iron Fist is a bigger concern than Scott Buck or whoever gets most of the shit for S1.

Luke Cage and Danny have such awkward chemistry that extends to Defenders and Luke Cage S2. It feels so forced and there's not much charisma between the two. IMO the biggest failing of the Netflix MCU is this. It's part Mike Colter too, but it's mostly Danny's portrayal as a whole, not just when he's with Luke.

It just didn't seem very genuine given how you continued to reply, so I don't think it's too strange for me to not accept it given how dishonest it looked in context.
I don't know how you're on this forum and wouldn't know what type of info I'm looking for given I don't think it's like rare for people to make arguments like this on any series.
But in the strange case of you somehow in all the years on the internet having dodged this type of argument I'm going to be a good sport and try to make a hypothetical post to convince someone of giving eh let's say Brooklyn 99 another try after bouncing off after season 1.
----
I would say something like how Brooklyn is similar to a lot of other comedy series that are finding their footing in a pretty weak season 1 with occasional flashes of greatness. Try to make it past that cause it at least establishes all the characters in a way that will make you appreciate the later humor more. Try to make it until the Halloween episode given that's where I think the series really finds its stride and if you still don't like it, it's probably not worth it.
----
Something like that is probably a good faith of engaging instead of what you've been doing the whole time.
Like you've never said anything that would actually give me more info to establish better expectation on how something like Luke Cage S2 would go and instead just repeated "just watch 1-2 episode" over and over despite me stating pretty early that I already did that and then you somehow pretend well I guess that is really the extend of everything useful that can be said while being a huge asshole about it.

Again it's fucking weird to me how you can have this many post and have never seen posts like in answer to people looking for more opinions to tip them over. Sorry trolling seems the most logical answer for everything that went down.

The weird back and forth in this thread was more interesting than the entirety of season 1 of this show. Bad acting, bad writing, horrible fight choreography and a black hole of charisma for a main character. Would be pretty amazing if they manage to turn this around.

They apparently got the same fight choreographer from Creed and Black Panther working on this. And with Scott Buck gone, I can see this being a massive improvement over the last season.

Glad someone got something out of that weird back and forth given how I felt about S1 I can believe it :P
