Remember to get a full picture of the sales you need a wait a full week of sales as this game is only for sale 4 days and the other sales have 3 days more and a big Ultimate Sale going on But it arriving at those spots after 4 days of sales is a very good beginning and will probably go up to the one of the top spots.

I'll wait to reserve judgment (I'm still poking around the tutorial phase picking up rocks on the second planet) but I'm glad to see it get a decent reception along with Hellblade. Hopefully the success of these late ports shows that skipping exclusivity all around would be even better.

Tons of people on both my PS4 and XBO friends lists are playing it, quite incredible the resurgence its seen on the back of the patch.

Digital sales today make about 40 - 50% of the total sales for new titles - and these percentages are even higher in the Xbox One ecosystem for multiple titles we've seen. It's a great indicator for full sales and just like we have threads for every physical sales news, this here has its right to exist, too. "It really doesn't mean much" is simply a factually wrong statement, as it could be seen by State of Decay 2 or Sea of Thieves (just two examples that come to my mind).

On top of that you are thread whining. If you feel like you don't want to participate in these threads - just don't and move on.

I am pretty surprised. Never thought NMS would attract attention again, and certainly not on Xbox. Good for them after all the hate they got (criticism was deserved, hate was not). But I am still not interested in it.

It was $15 and there was no proof that it was going to be delisted. That wasn't announced ahead of time.

Good news. It's actually launched on Xbox at £39.99 and 'full price games' are £49.99/£54.99 so it's a good price (in the UK). Glad to see it enter so high. In the UK chart it's literally the only game in the top 10 that isn't on deep discount for the big sale.

When there are pretty niche games that make it into the top 10 just because they get a discount then yeah I don't see it as being a very hard thing to do. It's July which is always the slowest month of the year for game sales so it's pretty common sense that games can more easily crack that top 10.

It's also right in the middle of the big Summer Xbox sale where hundreds of games are discounted. NMS is the only game in the (UK) top 10 that isn't like half off. It hasn't just stumbled it's way into that chart. It's clearly doing well.

I dont make many of this threads also. I only made the Monster Hunter one.
Also we dont get many of this threads really. And if they are made there is a specific reason for it. So its not even "every game"

Monster Hunter World - First Xbox release. Japanese also wich is always a discussion
Hellblade - Was not at launch on Xbox
Nier Automata - Was not on launch on Xbox and Japanese niche game
No Mans Sky - Was not on release on Xbox also.

That's not bad for a two year old game that's been discounted many times. Seems like the new media coverage and great word of mouth are doing the game a lot of good. Hello Games has earned back my respect. Should the game have launched like it did? No. But they have done a really good job at making something worthwhile even if it's taken a really long time. Too many devs/pubs just drop games cold turkey if it doesn't go there way.

Those usually only happens when the devs themselves publish information on the performance and/or we get numbers how its comparing to other versions. Also the Switch is/was a relative new system, so there was natural interest from the market to see how titles are performing.

Not shitting on this thread or anything, but lets not act like we usually get these threads just based on the digital chart position of a game in two markets/countries...without any kind of context how much it is selling on its own or compared to other versions.

With that being said...looking at the latest updates it seems like Xbox owners are embracing the game and the port/update was worth it. Interested to see how the longterm performance will be - SoT already showed us that there is a sizable market for these experiences on Xbox.

It shows the Xbox owners embracing the game. Its not that we get a thread for each game. They all have a intresting reason (like i posted earlier in the thread) to see if its been worth and how its recieved.

Sure, as said im not against this thread.

Its interesting to see games that people were doubting before on Xbox performing relatively well this year - stuff like MH.W, Nier, SoT, SoD2 and now...maybe No Mans Sky as well.

Since you were the OP i knew that there would be follow up data and discussion on the performance of the title on the Xbox charts.

Personally i would be even more interested in numbers or how its performing compared to other launches.

The game has been on sale (As in half price or better) on PSN and Steam this weekend too.

I really want it on Xbox as I have an X bib as I already have it in PS4 I will wait for a sale and play there until then!
