For me with the recent trend of Japanese games coming to pc its truly shown that theres a audience for all different types of games on pc.

We also have games like yakuza around the corner aswell which is great.

And if i wanna play on the go i can just use my gaming laptop so i have the best of both worlds.

Fancy playing some zelda too i can use a emulator for added quality and performance too. (Sadly there is people out there that dont own the games and do it very illegitimate. )

Im sure soon we will have one of these for every platform.

Everything.

I'm actually serious too. Given that basically every input and output method is available on PC, and the variety of the form factors that you can get a "PC" in, it seems hard to argue otherwise.

I mean, I could just try to reword this to say the exact same thing. But yeah, this.

I mean, yea, there's genuinely nothing I can think of that wouldn't be suited for PC. Except for maybe like 1...2 Switch or something. But I'm not entirely sure that's suited for anything XD.

Most games are already on PC. So I'd say stuff like ATLUS GAMES

I have laptop and couple of indies that I play time to time, they are perfect for 14" screen. Everything else I prefer to play on console.
WoW Classic will be also perfect on PC for me, when it launches.

But you can't take a PC anywhere.

*Gets hit by multiple laptops, tablets and mini gaming portable PCs*

Ow.

As Durante said, anything, frankly. The platform is as flexible as you can get, and you can always find a way to play on PC to suit any genre, input method or form factor.

Probably everything for people who cares about Performance, Graphics, Mods and stuff like that.
Especially mmo games with a lot of skills like wow and so on...

But because I cant play with a PC Keyboard no game would be perfect for me on the PC without a controller...

Maybe its easier to answer this question with what isnt perfect for the PC. Comfy couch gaming. Dragging the couch over to a really small 17" monitor and having to use a mouse and keyboard to play DOTA, 3m from said screen...its not ideal. And lets not get started with split screen gaming on such a small screen. At least with a switch in tablet mode its like right in front of you.

As Durante said, everything. Still, to narrow out the field. I'd love an HD collection of Dead Space. Sure it looks good now, but imagine it with better performance, eye tracking or even VR?

Whoa bro don't you know I have to tinker with drivers and patches for 8 hours and it uses all of my gaming time every time I want to play a game?

Maybe almost every game could work better on PC, when you have the right Hardware.

The better question would be:
"Will PC make the most money compared to other platforms?"
And this is a clear no, even tough it depens on the genre/game - but this is more important for the developers/publishers...

You actually made a solid point in your first sentence. Then you planted your tongue so firmly in your cheek that I don't think everyone will take the first part seriously.

You'd have an easier time compiling a list of games/genres that wouldn't be ideal for a PC release.

As long as there's support for the the control input, anything basically.

That said Pokemon Go would be a bit tricky with my desktop.

I'd like it to go the other way too, provided M&KB support eventually gets rolled out to consoles. I know it's not ideal to use them on a sofa as is, but there's no harm in providing the option.

Everything is the correct answer. But also as much as it has standardized in the last 5 there is still room for more standardization/ optimizations.

MS could help a lot here if they want to keep windows the premier gaming os.

What ms can do:

- Come up with a standardized gaming mode that Cuts off all unrelated windows background services.

- Come up with a standard 'game' flag for game executables so better library apps and overlays can be made easier.

- Make it easier to use windows with a controller. For that matter maybe even have the option to boot into a Xbox one type menu.

Or just my dream scenario and everyone moves to Linux :)

My favourite PC games are actually moddable and dlc driven games. Not costumes and microtransactions but rather meaty releases every few months or so to bring the player back.

Ill give a few examples -

Euro Truck Simulator 2 - along with the official dlc expansions with new countries to drive in, theres a huge modding scene, one particular mod promods adds loads of european cities and essentially fill in gaps. It works alongside the main dlc too and they usually make it so that you need the latest dlc to work.

Cities Skylines - still has lots of regular dlc released and most of these expansion packs have been reasonably priced.

Planet Coaster - so many mods and park objects in steam workshop, you would never really need to buy any dlc if you didnt want tom

Thinking about it a bit more, any game that relies on (as in, it's fundamental to its gameplay) multi-touch input might have a hard time. Laptops/displays with multi-touch aren't very widespread on PCs (for now?), and it's not something which is easily emulated by other means.

Daytona is probably better at the arcades.

What about Pokemon GO?

Uhm....any game?
There is no genre or game that would not work on a PC and could not be played to it's fullest on the PC.

This.
Point and Click adventures as well. And anything where you point and click a lot, basically. Like Diablo.
Truth is, even in these games, whenever possible, I find myself defaulting to less ideal controls on console for the added benefit of playing the game, well... on console. I play on PC less and less, and instead of installing some of the hundreds of games in my Steam and GoG libraries I often just re-buy for even some legacy consoles instead.
But they're still perfect for PC and hopefully in time I'll go back to the platform and enjoy the benefits it offers.
