The next Republican presidential nominee in 2024 to be a genuinely kind and decent person. These people follow that "R" like it's their religion, they've demonstrated time and again that they don't care who it's appended to.

Nothing. Trump could literally do anything and his supporters would be fine with it.

You're right. His fanbase is fine with everything as long as they have their guns and brown people are kept out.

Another potential area is economics, if his tariffs at some point cause his voters to directly lose money he could see a big swing in popularity.

But in all honesty like I sad before I only see the end of Trump as his maximum presidency time is over.

There are two VERY different groups here.

Trump supporters? No they are a lost cost. The effort to even have a small chance of helping one is better off helping non shitheads.

Trump voters who aren't supporters? (There is a difference, for example I was a Clinton voter but in no way a Clinton supporter.): These are savable, millions of people who went Obama twice either went Trump or didn't vote in 2016. The moronic"black president so racism is dead" thought process was always insane, but people don't vote for a black man for president twice and then pull on a klan hood.

The vast majority of them are irredeemable and can't be saved. The world will be an infinitely better place when they are gone.

As someone who lives in Southeastern Georgia, probably this.

Yeah, taking away the 2nd amendment might turn SOME.

Before the tariffs, I would have said "hit them in the wallet." If they suffer economically under Trump, then perhaps they'll change their tune. However, now that we see people still supporting him even though they're losing money as a direct result of his policies....I got nothing.

Murder all minorities, ban abortion, make the US a theocracy.

I think you may have misread the thread title.

Are they yet?

Nothing.

you can't turn around dumb racists, who can not see the difference between lies and facts.
They only see there "own problems" and they don't care, that I might hurt others/society/nature/etc.
They don't effing care and this is the problem.

Yes, they most certainly are:
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/tru...-warn-patience-wearing-thin/story?id=56837609

"We have loss of confidence in our products and we have loss of price," said hog farmer Gregg Hora of Fort Dodge, Iowa. "Pig farmers are currently losing about $25-30 per pig."

"There's no doubt the tariffs have had a very powerful effect to the downside on our prices," said Recker, who serves as president of the Iowa Corn Growers Association.

Now, it IS noted that patience is wearing thin....but the fact of the matter is that they are still supporting him.

Edit:
Example:
"I'm not opposed to what he's doing. It's just really hard when you're trying to make a living," Juchems said. "I think it would be healthy in the long run, in the short run it may be a little tight."

Well the support will be measured in actuality in the elections. If their patience is wearing thin that could very well mean a dip in votes.

"I'm not opposed to what he's doing. It's just really hard when you're trying to make a living," Juchems said. "I think it would be healthy in the long run, in the short run it may be a little tight."

Yeah that's not surprising at all, they are giving him benefit of the doubt, but that doesn't last forever.

Is Trump-ism a religion or a school or thought? He is not a belief system, he is just a man (or a fruit, or a very stable Djinn, whatever). One can keep being right-wing, conservative and republican without supporting Trump

The vast majority of DJT voters are going to vote GOP no matter what. They support him because he's their party leader.

It's really not complicated.

Well I certainly hope you're right. If the tariffs persist until November, I guess we'll find out.

Trump has some sort of revelation or takes some hit to the head , turns himself in for his crimes, condemns his and others racist, sexist, homophobic, etc actions, turns on their guns, and promotes voting for Democrats.

Basically you need the phantom thieves.

Basically he has to be explicitly caught ragging on his base, at length, as a bunch of fucking idiots for falling for his con. Something like this:

Which would require him to actually be truthful and self-aware about the source of his power and validation, so probably not gonna happen.

Then again, if the blue wave is a thing, Mueller hits incontrovertible pay dirt, and impeachment proceedings start to take form and breathe down his neck, I absolutely wouldn't put it past him to lash out at his base and everyone around him like a cornered rat, and generally throw everyone but himself under the bus as he wildly flails about trying to deflect blame. If getting ousted becomes a real threat, he certainly ain't gonna keep composure and go out with quiet dignity.

When the usa has completely destroyed itself (whatever that means exactly, but we are not there yet) they will regret.

The FOX is keeping the orange man president. They spin every negative news into victories or failures from the opposition or previous administrations. They give credibility to every bat-shit insane tweet from Trump. Make Trump lose FOX's support and he is down. Problem is, he is very aware (and afraid) of that.

Terminate their opinion influencers, take away Fox News and Facebook, destroy their echo chamber, push them into the deep end of the reality pool, without ill guidance they will be forced to fill the void, maybe with reason, if you're lucky, but be prepared to lose a few to insanity.

Nothing and the sooner democrats that fantasy out of their heads and start focused on getting some of the 50% of the people who don't vote the better.

If dems start adoring Trump. The #1 motivation for Trump supporters is watching liberals squirm. Liberal tears are like crack-cocaine to them.

Economy tanking hard would certainly do it. That's the only thing propping him up for a lot of people.

Fox News turning on Trump would probably be able to convert people.

There's probably 20% that would be with him until the end.

These are the same folks who hate on the pope when he shows compassion to minority groups. They're hopeless. They'd let Trump sleep with their children if he told them it was to relieve stress brought on by the intolerant left.

Well, it's not like Trump supporters are one homogeneous block, there are a wide variety of attitudes and beliefs that would make each individual case different.

Just about the same situation as convincing a scientologist to leave scientology. Scientologists have to discover on their own how fucked up it is, and then it's a hugely traumatic event if they end up leaving. It happens, but not often.

It's not trump. It's the whole American population. You voted in a reality show celebrity. The only way America will learn is well, that answer becomes obvious. I've been banned before so I'll refrain.

Purgatory
If it was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Trump did rape his ex-wife, if tapes were played over and over where he used all the racial epithets that you'd think he would use, if it was proven how his corrupt businesses screw over people, if it was proven that he funneled Russian mob money into his businesses, if it was exposed, all the affairs he had and he was responsible for clandestine abortions and paid newspapers and intimidated people to shut the hell up, if it was caught on tape how he truly feels about the puppets he uses to vote for him, I mean Trump did insult their intelligence and said he could shoot someone and not lose any votes, and hey, he and his administration are directly responsible for creating a lot orphans and no one cares because they are illegal browns. And no one cares how incompetent he is, bankrupting his businesses many times over and on his way to wreck the economy. No one in his base would care, republicans don't care because they can use him to pass through their agenda.
Maybe if Trump took their guns away, priorities and all, we must not go a year without half a dozen record-breaking massacres, after all the NRA is funded by dirty Russian money and it would never happen anyway.
I feel dirty thinking about all that now.

These dumb motherfuckers don't care about losing money. As long as other people are losing money and suffering, they're happy. Why lift everyone up when we can just drag everyone down?
