Jesus do I need money to even get remotely good gear. Idk why I'm hoarding money since it's gear is all I need. I'm on everyone's chapter 2 and only have 50 grand. Idk if that's a lot or nothing at all at this point.

Not long picked up the game but spent a good amount of time with it yesterday and it's really scratching the JRPG itch I've had for a while. Might go back and play the Bravely games afterwards, if Octopath is anything to go by.

Just finished Cyrus' 1st chapter (having already completed H'aanit/Therion/Ophelia's) and I'm really looking forward to spending a lot more time with this.

Here's an interesting take on the game. I never realized it but the game does foster use of your imagination for certain things more than other JRPGs and feels almost inspired by DnD campaigns (minus the varying races).

Just thought it was an interesting counter point to a certain other youtuber take on the game from someone also not fond of classic JRPG structure.

Someone modded the game to be 60FPS, however it drains the battery faster than it charges even when docked. A lot of things are bugged like the menus being twice as fast and animation not working properly.

Considering that the enemy animations are exactly the same I don't think this makes a world of difference, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.

And the movement while traveling seems off and weird too. Yeah I don't like that at all lol

Anyone know how Cordelia addresses Therion in Japanese?

Calling him Mr. Therion in English seems a bit proper and damn she gives off love-struck vibes for no reason I can see

So I finally recruited all 8 characters, geared them up and re-visited every town to do as much stuff as I could. Is now a good time to go for the secondary jobs before continuing with the main stories? My characters are between level 10-20

Also, any advice on how to tackle the game regarding party composition? Do you guys have 3 main characters and swap the 4th one, or do you just swap all of them constantly (my main is Therion)?

Agree entirely. It's why I love the game. Has more in common with early pc dnd inspired games than modern rpgs. I think people expected bioware type interactions, but I prefer this approach by far.

Im also trying to decide between two playstyles:

1. Having two main teams and completing the game with Team A first, then play 2-4 again with Team B.

2. Rotating the character after finishing the chapter.

Your team would be ABCD (A is main). After finishing B's chapter your switch to: ACDE and so on.

Want to play more of this game but it has been too hot, hopefully it cools down this weekend so can put some time into it.

Glad it's not just me; tropical warmth doesn't make me want to sit down and play. Try finding a shady area in your garden for tabletop mode; add a gin based cocktail for maximum relaxation...

The segue from her theme is just so, so, so good.
Pretty much all of the segues into Decisive Battle II are the best. Every time it kicks into it, it gives me so much life.

When you're used to not seeing anything drop for a few hours, this somehow becomes the best feeling:

I got x100XP for the first time ever, then got x5 XP on the next battle with a summoned Cat. Got something like 12k experience across my 4 characters, pushing Prim and Ophelia up to like level 40 and my 2 level 20 characters straight to level 30. I'd call that a successful grind!

2% chance :(

Farmable at 2% drop rate.

2% is worst than the 3% steal lol
well unless you can just one shot every time you fight I guess that is not a big deal if you can oneshot them all this means I need to grind up my challenge fighting assholes
time to look for nuts that works for him
ANY LEVEP 70-80 HAVE YOU ONE SHOT OLD MEN IN TOWN?

You can kill them in 2 to 3 hits, so that's not a problem. But you have to leave and re-enter city to retry. Or reload your file. It's a little more annoying that stealing since with stealing you get like 5 shots within 10 secs.

The boss in Captain's Bane gave me a bit of a run. Kept knocking key party members unconscious at the worst times.

Holy moly. So got to the Chapter 2 boss for Tressa and I keep dying. Over and over. I just cannot keep up with the damage they dealt. I have Tressa, Cyrus, Ophelia and Olberic right now, and I incite and stonewall don't do much here because of the AoE physical attacks the boss and two minions do. I can't get anywhere here. Do you get skills later on to buff everyone's defense instead of just one by one?

I start off by having Ophelia buff Olberic's defense, then Olberic uses incite and then stonewall, while Tressa and Cyrus try their hardest to break everyone. Unfortunately, the minions must have some high HP because some boosted cross slash and tempest times two (both weak to sword and wind) is not even enough to kill one of the minions.

Fuck. I am stuck. Holy difficulty spike, Batman!
