What do you people cheering on this vandalism think it is accomplishing?

Stuff like this does absolutely nothing to inconvenience somebody as rich as her but does give her supporters valid ammunition. You don't get to damage property because you don't like somebody. And this from the side that is constantly claiming moral superiority. I don't get it, but I'm not surprised.
Damaging the ill-gotten property of the wealthy is the best thing people can do at times like these, because that's literally the only thing those in power care about.

Revolutions are built and change is brought upon by piling up small inconveniences on top of small inconveniences to the lives of those who rule with contempt to the masses below.

The only bad thing about this whole thing is that they only managed to fuck up one of the yachts and not all of them.

So does she litteraly have like nearly half a billion dollars in yachts? JFC, the crushing realization of how much that kind of money could help so many public schools... Betsy wants to fuck up your kid's public education while she literally floats on the means to save it. What a fucking wretched person.

If the guillotines happen, she's definitely in the first set.

The best part of this image is the "US Patent Application".

Decapitate and then eat the rich.

Not surprising people care about things so much on a things forum. But fuck that, those people are putting literal lives at risk. Hope the yacht sinks honestly.

We're not rich. We're just normal people. Please don't mind us while we take 90% of the world's wealth for us.

User Banned (5 days): Doubling down on advocating violence after recently being warned. Several infractions for similar behaviour.
Maybe I'll catch another warning or even a ban but the sooner this ruinous billionaire asshole is dead or otherwise out of society, the better.

Her paid-for antics in government are actively destructive to so many lives that I feel no shame for wishing her death. Vandalizing one of this disaffected cur's ten boats isn't enough; if she was herself bruised and hanged I'd cheer, if for nothing else then she'd have to be removed from the position she is bringing endless shame to.

Fuck Betsy DeVos and her whole warmongering shit-ass family.

Eat the rich; her stringy meat especially.

i would like to take this moment to remind everyone that the rich and powerful are only getting richer and more powerful as time goes on. soon extravagant displays of wealth like luxury yachts will be seen as quaint in comparison to the mind-blowing frivolity of future occupations of the billionaire class.

Two more things to also point out in previous posts. You cannot say we're a civilized society and hard wave the past as uncivil. Back during the era of Rosa Parks, many said the same thing that her protests were uncivil and nothing can be accomplished with her actions. What you see as a time of noncivililty was seen as civil back then, and in the future many will say our time period was a barbaric uncivil time because of how we treated the poor, minorities, and our Earth.

I just wanted to quickly point out a little nuance here: when Rosa Parks refused to go to the back of the bus, she was being uncivil by the standards of the day, but she was also breaking a law that's now widely considered to be unjust and unconstitutional. Unless I'm severely underestimating the number of anarchists on this forum, I think most people here when they're not caught up in venting sessions like this thread will still agree that the US laws against vandalizing other people's property are neither unjust nor unconstitutional nor should they be, even when people from the other team occasionally get to benefit from them too.

Secondly, mob justice and riots are proven time and time again through out history the actions that moved us to progress. The history of progress is covered blood and it will continue to do so because those wealthy and in power continue to refuse to hear the masses and exploit them.

I really don't think it's accurate to start slinging events like the French Revolution or the Boston Tea Party around in this context. Do you think those events would have taken place if the king was up for reelection in 2 years and half his court was up for reelection in a matter of months?

People who argue like this probably think they sound smart, but they really just sound scared.

They also delude themselves into thinking that they'd be on the side of MLK, but in reality, they'd be the ones bitching about how protectors cause traffic jams and how the correct way to protest is to continually use the failed system. It's fucking pathetic.

Like I said, she's a pathetic person.

Mob-justice and vigilante-justice have no place in civilized society, though.
She deserves to go through the standard legal practice like anybody else.
Even Ed Gein got to defend himself in court; let her do the same when the time comes.

You're underselling it. She's a terrible person who is trying to destroy the education of our children and get rich off it. Get off your high horse. I could give a shit less if she lost all her yachts. Its not even comparable to the damage she's doing and attempting to do to the country.

If we're going to talk about a hypothetical Democratic French Kingdom, then I have to say yes because those events are the result of decades of events that led up to it. If that democratic system couldn't address the common people's problems for decades and making it worse then said system was a failure. And for that, I would say "Ça Ira".

Also, the context is related as I added the Civil Rights Era and Stonewall for a reason. It's part of the same repeated cycle in history. Those rich and in power refused to listen to the voice of the oppressed for so long, and the oppressed had enough.

I generally subscribe to the idea of not messing with people's shit, but I think it is funny when bad stuff happens to her.

How can someone so rich represent/fight for the average american? $10k in damage is a significant amount to the average person... but it's pocket change to her. How on earth is she supposed to understand the average american's educational needs???

I understand the sentiment, but I'm sure era doesn't need the possible legal troubles that could come with allowed promotion of violence on the website.

In comparison to the legislation Boatsy DeVos attempted to pass...
Some significant proposals championed by Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and President Donald Trump were rejected in the $1.3 trillion spending bill that's making its way through Congress.
DeVos and Trump had proposed eliminating the Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant, which serves needy students, but the spending bill adds an additional $107 million to the program.
Her budget plan also proposed cuts to the Office for Civil Rights, DeVos said, because the department had become more efficient at investigating and clearing complaints. The move alarmed Democrats and civil rights groups. The spending bill provides an additional $8.5 million for the office, for a total of $117 million.
Link
...this minor vandalism, which may not have been directed at her specifically, appears insignificant compared to the damage she intends to do to education to suppress the poor and minorities with her government authority.
Her support of merging the labor and education departments of the fed is also alarming.

After watching the first episode of Westworld S2 yesterday, this vandalism and what she and the administration intends reminded me of Dolores' monologue if what they intend comes to pass:

For years I had no dreams of my own.
I moved from hell to hell of your making, never thinking to question the nature of my reality.
Have you ever questioned the nature of your reality? Did you ever stop to wonder about your actions? The price you'd have to pay if there was a reckoning?

Yachts and piers.

Edit:
P.S.-
Sweet dreams, Betsy.
