So I got banned on League and it's not my fault (sorta)

I like how nine times out of ten, when someone prefaces with "it was not my fault", you can hear the narrator's voice "it was."
So just for the record, because I know it's been a few years since Riot ban-whining was en vogue, the way this is supposed to go:
"I didn't do anything wrong."
"I just looked up your case and the game logs show you blatantly harassing another player."
"It wasn't harassment because he wasn't playing well."
Like it's no fun if you just come in and say, "Yes I murdered him and yes I planned it out meticulously but I hated him and did it because I wanted his things to be my things." You're supposed to give DetectiveERA a chance to work.

Because it means you're playing for free, it leads to accounts being hacked and taken over, and it leads to others using cheats and you saying "wasn't me!". And, it's in their Terms of Services so just follow it. Best of all, it leads to threads like these lol
Among other reasons, because of Elo Boosting (you know, the very reason the OP shared accounts).

Fellow resettler & actual Riot employee here. I don't work in Player Behavior or Player Support (the two teams that would look at this sort of thing), but wanted to reach out and say I'm sorry you were banned, but also account sharing is strictly against the TOS for League.
Even if your friend wasn't toxic, the account sharing itself is bannable.

Riot just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about League (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in DOTA2 where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw a player over in League, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the League fanbase, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase any more skins, nor will they purchase any microtransactions. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Riot has alienated an entire fanbase with this move.
Riot, publicly apologize and unban MrMatt555 or you can kiss your business goodbye.

It's a simple mathematical model: if you beat a player your Elo goes up by an amount determined by how much higher their Elo is than yours (scaling all the way down to 0 if you're basically picking fights with nobodies), and if you lose to a player you lose Elo according to how much lower their Elo is than yours. It's basically useless in a small sample size (<10 games), but for players who play thousands of games it gradually becomes an extremely accurate predictor of seeding.
Be honest, say you lent your account to your friend (make sure to tell them why) and that he acted like a fool, don't make excuses for him and yourself, tell them you'll never do it again and that you're sorry, and then you MIGHT get your account back. This is the only way you stand a chance at recovering your account.

Let them know I won't do it again please! The reason I was banned wasn't even for sharing. I don't think they noticed lol
Don't say Planet of the Apes or use that type of "gorillas/ape" language, there are serious racist undertones to that.
Have you not learned your lesson? You 100% deserved that ban.
I pinged the support team as an FYI, but I'm guessing that if account sharing wasn't the reason, you posting this thread and now them seeing there was account sharing probably won't help your case my dude.
This alone completely makes it your fault, and doubt you are going to have any success getting the decision changed... worth a try I guess though.
