Eh, chaining explosions are cool and all, but it's still no fatebringer.
We used to have this. It was called D1. People bitched about it and then it was subsequently removed. Granted I know that the exotic perk was the final slot but we had a "Masterworks" before.
They need to bring that back AND implement a tiered master work system. You know, actual depth. Progression.
If you guys run shotguns on bather what are you DPS-ing the lamps with?? That's why I always went with Merciless, it does both.
Also still on hiatus, probably (maybe? Or maybe wait tol Forsaken) going to return when I get my new TV next week, BUT
I dont think I like the direction Bungie is going in. They're chasing the Masses love by making a lot of OP stuff. But I dont think it's sustainable or long term healthy. What meaning do Boss damage phases even have with some of these OP PVE weapons and exotics being introduced?
The 12 year old idiots who want a win button are what eventually ruin the game. When was the last timer Bungie nerfed anything? They're scared to nerf anything now because of crowd bullying against it, and it's not fun. Graviton and Vigilance Wing are the only things you can use in crucible and it isn't fun. In the past, would be handled with a simple nerf. Now, that's not an option. Game suffers.
Remember that Solstice of Heroes was listed as being in the July 17th update but we aren't actually getting it until the 31st. They've also done it in the past with faction rally dates.
I'd love to see the weapon slot changes a week early but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Pretty sure you're gonna see the weapon slot changes in that August patch. This is Taken King's launch again, where the patch is actually available a week before so everyone has time to install it, and Taken King's sandbox/changes all went live even before the patch.

Yeah, I've been wondering about this as in the past all the major expansions were downloaded (most of the data anyways) a week or two in advance of the actual release date. Hope this continues with Forsaken, worried a bit that because it's also on PC now this may change things.
Edit: Seems like I have nothing to worry about after reading this Polygon article and seeing the roadmap from Bungie.

I'm also curious to see if the Heroic version of The Whisper will be available to me when it comes back considering I'm pretty sure we beat the mission after reset on Monday. I really just want to go in there and explore at my leisure.

Who said anything about Fallen? You just need kills and multikills with arc conductor. Start an EP and kill thralls from wave 1, rinse repeat.

I'm trying to catch up with speed by finishing the DLC's and increasing my light level on PC by my own. Still I don't understand like any of the words and jargon that goes around Destiny in general. I'm gonna try to find a group to finally try to do a Raid, Strike, Nightfall or whatever the hell those are called. Is there a preferred wiki or piece of information that might be helpful to a complete ignorant on this franchise? All I do is look for better numbers, point and shoot, but I lack any knowledge of this game and I think that I'll need to read a lot on it before I join a group.

I'm really liking it in pvp. Will still a lose a 1v1 against a graviton lance or handcannon player who's good at peeking, but it's pretty strong generally.
Wormhusk in general is the worst exotic to play against. I'm tempted to just go full on Sentinel with Feedback or Synthoceps to troll them.
Other than just for collecting is there any reason to use the sleeper/darci over the whisper now? Well of course not counting prestige mode.
There's a normal & prestige Leviathan raid running back to back this Saturday at 7pm Irish/UK time, and there's two free spots it anyone wants in. Just let me know on here.

Sleeper and Whisper while both great, are functionally different.
Rise of Iron was great sendoff, I think. Introduced a lot of great addons.
Iron Temple public space was great, and even had its share of secrets.
One of the best raids in the game.
Some of the best guns in the game.
Some great armor, and looks (ornaments which are LEAPS above what we currently have in D2)
One of the best hidden quests (Outbreak Prime), shame the gun didnt get much time in the spotlight.

You can proc it with your own arc pulse grenades, so take your titan and find a lot of trash ads. Level 1 EP thrall are great, the green room shadow thrall in the heroic whisper quest this weekend are also good.
Good for getting dailies. rewards, repping just right.
But screwed with Special Ammo in the Crucible
Leaving the meta on Handcanons left PVP in a shit place IMO.
I wasn't too blown away by the amount of content and the SP was like 2 hours.
Only got to do the raid once. Like with all raids, never feel like I get enough value from these. At least we got Tyra
