A few people think based off price 24.99 and that the game is a action rpg as mentioned on today's stream that it will be bastion

I would love any of the following :

Bastion
Grim fandango
Fez

In honesty I hope they get all three but still

Any source on that?

Some suggested Battle Garegga, but the price is wrong. Fez does seem like a good bet, but is it really one of the most requested physical release titles? I don't hear much about it these days.
I think it's an old joke about a "secret ps3 game" from early PS3 days.

Heh, yup.

Really interested in "Everspace" (it's better than "Strike Suit Zero", yes?) but while that 3 disc soundtrack is mighty cool, it would have been even better if there was some cardboard sleeve outer box to keep the game and the CD case in together. Nothing super fancy, but it would make that release even more terrific.

Can't be Bastion (although I too would LOOOOOOVE it) because as recent as like 3 weeks ago, LRG was implying that Supergiant weren't really open to physical.

I'm surprised to see I'm apparently one of the few remaining members who care about the print run size, even without being part of the "speculators".
I don't know, I guess I see it as a distance that LRG is taking with us. It certainly makes sense from a business perspective, but that makes them look less approachable (to me).
Bah, I'll keep asking for number from time to time, especially during AMA.

I remember that too. It would be incredibly unexpected if it were the case :O

My guess is Rogue Legacy. Can't think of another game that would be popular enough on both systems that would justify a 30-day preorder window and I think it kinda fits that clue above.

Yeah either this or Fez is all that comes to mind. Its certainly not Dungeon Travellers 2-2 or a Trails game.

I can't understand some people. Why would someone not want his own game as a physical release? They don't loose money with that (they make money) and it should be awesome to have his own art as a physical game in your hands.

Same with Jonathan Blow and his games Braid and The Witness.

I can see that there could be problems with games like "The Cave" from Double Fine because Sega was involved in this game (so far i know) and that could make it more complicated.

From what I recall, they said something along the lines that they were ok with the idea of having their games going physical as long as it wasn't in a limited fashion. So they end up... not doing it at all ?

Can't find any quote though, I may remember wrong.

I hope they change their mind eventually.

Does LRG plan to do Everspace in a standard edition ? I have no interest in the Galactic Edition that's currently on the website :x

I'd love to see that game in physical now that they are going with PS3 games. I think it's going to be Rogue Legacy although I prefer bastion.

How in the world would rogue cover the quota of one month preorder , "the dev went on to make more highly rated games, and one of the biggest indies released"

I would say no:

From Doug on Twitter:
EVERSPACE is $40 on our site and for what it comes with this would normally be at least $65 from us. $30 Base Game $10 Expansion $15 Soundtrack (3-discs) $10 Physical Uncharge Total $65 But nope we matched the original price to please customers!

So forgive me if it upsets me that people feel "forced" or "inconvenienced" in getting a free 3-disc OST with their game. You are getting a great offer as it is. Be happy and show your support for this amazing developer! They are giving you a steal for all this content!

Wasn't Mighty No. 9 on Doug's list of games that will never happen from LRG together with Yakuza 5, Caligula and maybe something else? I know it was a joke but just sayin'. What even happened to the Vita and 3DS version? Is the latest official word still that they're coming before the end of 2017?

Well, if there are folk out there not interested in the soundtrack for Everspace I'd be happy to buy it off them. Already rolling with the game on Xbox so I don't have much reason to buy it again on PS4.

I dunno, neither of those anagram into "Merely Nothing Noteworthy. Life!"
I don't think that anagram is directly related to the game's title. I didn't find anything that'd fit those initials yesterday.

It was a goof guys, I was just playing around with you. We joke about Mighty No 9 on Vita constantly on the stream.

I do like to remind people, that has a physical release. It got a straight to bargain bin PC version. Perhaps that's part of why Jonathan Blow doesn't want physical copies, maybe he got screwed somehow? But it's out there and you can probably get it for $5 if you care.
Thanks, i didn't knew that. But i think a PC version is the worst platform for a physical release, i couldn't care less about that release.

People mentioned that the partner wants to announce it through their newsletter and the Bastion developer has one, while the Rogue Legacy developer doesn't.
